Monster Madness due on 15th May
SouthPeak Games have updated everyone to explain that Monster Madness: Battle for Suburbia has been delayed once again until the 15th May. But we do have a pack shot after the jump to get you excited!
The game was originally touted for an April release (or a 2006 release, if we go back a year). Above is the North American packshot, and for the uninitiated, there are some screenshots taken from the PC version below, in case you haven’t seen the game before.
If you haven’t been following Monster Madness, then you have been missing out. Featuring four player co-op and deathmatch goodness, you can combine objects found around the town to create bigger and better weapons in order to destroy the hordes of monsters coming your way. There are five environments to explore and escape, each with interactive scenery too. The shooter will allow for four players to cooperatively take on the story, whilst competitive play over Xbox Live will allow for up to 16 players to get involved. People are suggesting that this would be more suited to an Arcade release, but that is doing the game an injustice. Yes you may well have to pay full price for this, but the way things are shaping up at the moment (with a trailer available on the Marketplace or the official site), the money will be well spent. Hopefully we will see a demo soon.

I have had my eye on this for a while, looks a rather intriguing game, especially the multiplayer side of things. Hopefully the co-op is more along the lines of GoW or Crackdown, and not the GRAW/GRAW2 efforts of co-op.
When I saw the trailers for this on the marketplace, I thought it was an XBLA title. The graphics are terrible for a full price game and the gameplay looked like Assault Heroes/Small Arms with some minor differences. I can’t believe this is going to be a full price game.
