Battlefront III 360 exclusive?
This week can easily be summed up as the week of all the exclusivity news (blindly ignoring the European PS3 launch of course). We’ve had Devil May Cry 4 confirmed as non-exclusive, we’ve had Ace Combat 6 confirmed as non-exclusive, and there are even rumblings of Final Fantasy XIII not being exclusive. Now, Star Wars Battlefront III is suggested by a Playstation magazine here in the UK as being exclusive to the 360.
LucasArts are yet to comment and probably won’t say either way, but bearing in mind that this is probably the most successful Star Wars game on the market, would it be wise to go single platform only? No it wouldn’t, and it’d piss off a lot of PS3 owners. The game is being developed by Free Radical this time around, of Timesplitters fame, so the game should be successful with such a team behind it.
The magazine in question, PSW, weren’t available for comment when CVG went to hunt them down and scrutinize their sources and reliability. I for one consider it highly unlikely the game will be exclusive to the 360, because Battlefront is such a popular series, it would be stupid not offering the game to as many people as possible.
Only time will tell, but for now mop up all that salt on the table and don’t worry yourself about the exclusivity for the time being! What a week…

The only people that should be concerned about exclusives are the console makers. Once it’s available to all consoles, what gamer really cares about exclusivity…except fanboys? None.

George Lucas cares…..WTF …..If he cares so much why where there NO servers for Battlefront 2 on the ps2 just 3 months after the games was released…
Lucas Arts grabbed our money and ran No servers or patches for the glitches, It will be a better game if it is Xbox 360 exclusive as there will be guaranted servers and a better chance of patches and expansions if the game needs it..

The only reason I see that it would be exclusive is ’cause online probably wouldn’t be possible beacuse of the shitty PS3 service. Almost all next-gen multiplatform games lack the online component on the PS3, so it could be true…
ahh that would be amusing…love battlefront so much…played number one for about a year straight with friends…2 for about half..not so good…looked nice and some nice add ons..just not the same as number one..
Battlefront 2 on Xbox Live is great, can’t wait for 3 on the 360!!! Hopefully they leave in split screen play too.
