Shivering Isles now available, but go quick
The latest expansion to the Oblivion world is now up on the Xbox Live Marketplace, slightly earlier than expected. You’re going to have to hurry though, because not long from now the Live service will be going down for some maintenance (mentioned last week), hence why the content is up early.

Ok found it now under all game downloads, i hope it finishes as xbox live will go down in 5 hours i only got a 1mb connection but that should finish within 5 hours i would think.
Dont forget to boot oblivion up before downloading so it updates the game with the patch otherwise if u dont do that b4 live goes down u will have the add on but it wont work as the game wasnt patched.

I’m going to get this but I’ve not purchased Oblivion content before so was just wondering, how is this add on incorporated into the original game? Do I find the extra quests on the original map? I just dont want to buy it and then not be able to find the new content.
Basically, you wait until a small message comes up on screen saying about a new quest, you go to the quest in the menu, and activate it. This is know to take up 2 game days, so don’t panic if you don’t get it straight away.
Is live down now??? Cant access the official web page and just booked half a days hold from work to go and download. Will I be able to download this when I get home which will be approx 1pm???? Please tell me someone!!!

Sorry to dissapoint, but Live is down for 14 hours, so here in the UK that means it won’t be back until 10 PM at the earliest.
So far this expansion is great. It truly is a whole new map to explore. Make sure to check all game downloads under Oblivion and not newly released downloads.

Wait if XBL goes down… You won’t be able to play it will you? Since all the extra content gets disabled when you aren’t on XBL… So then it’s pointless to download.
Obviously you can’t get the add-on, but the game will work as long as the disconnection from XBL is genuine, i.e. your DSL is down, and simply that you haven’t logged out
Has anyone else noticed how much quicker the load/save game window is when you’re disconnected? It’s excruciating to go from one save game to another when connected, I used to think it was the images, yet it zips through them when my DSL goes down. What the hell is Oblivion doing when I’m online?
Uh you can’t sign on XBL when it’s DOWN. That would mean you couldn’t play the expansion if it was like the others and didn’t work when you weren’t signed onto XBL.
I started downloading this at 11.30pm last night, but it got about$)5 and my own internet connection jibbed it! So ill have to wait until later. But seen as though the majority of my oblivion content was downloaded on another 360, I couldnt have played the game anyways!
I think I will hold off for a while. The price will come down.

Sorry to burst your bubbles, but xbox live NEVER goes down for only 12 hours.Expect 24-25 hours of Maintanence. Where people get 12 hours from is retarded. It’s 630 p.m here, and live went down at 200a.m. over here, so there goes your 12 hour theory guys! mwuahahahahahaha
Well it wasn’t suppose to be 12 hours, it was suppose to be 14. All I hope for is that it comes up sometime in the next 2 and a half hours!
