THQ bringing a new ‘Cars’ game to 360

Believe it or not, the game ‘Cars’, based on the film and released on all major platforms, actually sold pretty well. It managed to ship 7 million copies worldwide, and THQ’s partnership with Disney-Pixar has so far shipped 30 million copies worldwide for multiple different games. So there is reason to develop another game then.

Titled ‘Cars Mater-National’, the game will feature brand new international characters, who attempt to compete against Lightning McQueen in the First Annual Mater-National Race Festival. The game also promises new tracks, mini games and more than 10 different multiplayer games. The game will also be an open world, giving players the chance to explore Radiator Springs in a completely different, better way.

In true multiplatform style, the game is being released for the Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, Wii, NDS and GBA, and is expected to ship this Fall. Naturally, you will all be picking the game up for your children. Ahem.
