Test Drive a Lexus for an Unlimited amount of time

With Forza 2 just around the corner, you would be forgiven for forgetting that there are other racing games on the 360. In case you had forgotten, Atari figured the best way of reminding everyone that Test Drive: Unlimited isn’t dead was to come up with some new DLC. Which they have, and as an added bonus, is completely free. Lexus are the free cars you can now purchase in-game.

Atari have managed to strike a deal with Lexus, and to celebrate the momentous occasion, two free cars are now up on the Marketplace for your downloading pleasure. The two cars on offer are the Lexus GS 450h hybrid-powered luxury sport sedan and Lexus LS 460 premium luxury sedan.

As if that wasn’t enough Lexus love, more cars will follow. The SC 430 hard-top convertible and the all-new 2008 LS 600h L, which will be the world’s first full hybrid V8 luxury sedan are on their way, with the LS 600h L coming later this Spring. But why did Atari choose Lexus?

“Lexus automobiles are among the finest vehicles on the market today and a perfect fit for Test Drive Unlimited, one of the hottest racing games in recent times,” said Nique Fajors, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Atari, Inc. “Atari is committed to providing consumers with a top-notch automotive experience and this free, downloadable Lexus Car Pack for Test Drive Unlimited is another example of that commitment.”

Let us know how the cars handle. The pack is available now for free, and is 10.53 MB in size. The cars still ave to be purchased in-game if you wish to use them.

this is not my kind of game, but certainly credit has to be given to these developers for being so dedicated to their fans. (even if it means a little sponsorship)

Wow, I forgot about this game, It’s been sitting at the bottom of my game pile for quite some time now. Good thing I only paid 14$ for the whole thing.

Plus… Hybrid V8? thats a oxymoron if I’ve ever heard one…

The 450h is not too bad. Atari has done some screwed up things to piss off the TDU community but they do manage to come through with a few free cars every few months.
