Command & Conquer 3 demo to arrive tomorrow?
Ever since the release of The Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth II for the Xbox 360 a while back, gamers have wondered what it would be like to play other well-known RTS games on a console. Tomorrow, their questions will be answered. Scheduled for a release this Thursday, the Command & Conquer 3 demo will show off the new and improved console controller scheme, which EA hopes will deliver an authentic strategy experience to the living room.
The Command & Conquer series has always been a favorite among PC gamers. Now, the third true title in the series prepares for a 360 arrival with a slew of new features. Most notably, the game boasts support for the Vision camera: players can use video chat directly in game.
With an extensive multiplayer mode, awesome graphics, and an expansive story, Command & Conquer 3 will likely attract the attention of many 360 owners when it arrives on May 10th. Also, EA has released several downloads on the Xbox Live Marketplace today, including gamerpics and trailers.

I thought the LOTR one they did had crappy graphics, from slowdown and LACK OF VSYNC (why oh why god do devs keep doing this).

I like BFMEII except for the fact, can’t zoom out on the map far enough. Something about wasting those hobbits in the shire with goblins…lol. Hopefully they have improved upon the game engine to make C&C even better. Very happy to see a demo out so soon. Nice surprise, good job EA. (Don’t get to say that very often, ha ha)
I know we get the camera function but what about battlecast?

i like how they are using the web cam in it that seem pretty cool
PC version is the mutts nuts. Just finished playing all the campaign’s and it really does open up the story (as well as setting up the invitable sequel)
Still unsure on the 360 version. Just sounds like ea cashing in on it. It allegedly has all the problems plagued with the pc version with video sync problems and buggy multiplayer.
I still cant understand one thing. Why do people want to play strategy games with a joypad!?! seems a bit silly to me! Means you wont be ble to set up hotkeys thus making the game slower. Still can’t understand that one at all

It’s dearer for the 360 and the only difference is a different game type and a feature for the vision webcam.
Also, it doesnt take a lot to run it on the pc and if you are one of the few tha dont upgrade, then i’m sorry but it’s your own fault
Upgrades for the pc if you havent got it to current spec probably cost more than the game istelf on the 360…
and not everyone can afford a top notch pc that plays every game under the sun. Thats why consoles are sometimes better.
I downloaded the C&C3 PC demo on my laptop, which cost me £900 about 18 months ago and was an absolutely top-spec gaming machine.
It couldn’t handle the demo on anything other than low detail.
I’m not going to shell out another grand on a machine which will become outdated equally quickly, not when the 360 can already do that for me.
Saying that, the control scheme is the one thing which could swing it for me, looking forward to the demo to find out what it’s like.
Because I don’t want to sit hunched over a desk playing C&C online with other people while they sit there with one window for C&C and another window open so they can masterbate over amputee dwarf S&M Golden Shower porn.

Well the Halo 3 beta is a demo and MS are charging for that dont see anyone going crazy there. not that i want his, get games like this on c there’s no difference between 360/PC games like this.
why would they make you pay for it, EA have actually been the best when it comes to demos almost every game they make has a demo out for it on live…. yes they have issues when it comes to the full games but they do realease a lot of demos
and why are people saying if its half as good as the pc version it will be good, why would it only be half as good its the same game is it not, just has a differnt control layout which is easy to get use too.

Seem to me the demo has been delayed. That sucks, I really wanted to try this game out to see how the controls work, its pretty good on my mates PC.

As its not out yet, you are most likely to be right. That kinda sucks, but its better than getting no demo to try before we buy.
