GR:AW 2 gets some fresh content

If you love Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2 but have tired of the multiplayer maps now, then this pack should serve as some refreshment for the game. Bringing in seven maps from previous iterations of Ghost Recon, they have been re-made for the Hi-Def market.

Courtesy of Major Nelson:

  • Name: GRAW2 Throwback Pack
  • Price: 800 Points
  • Availability: All Xbox Live regions
  • Dash Details: Play 7 of your favorite Ghost Recon maps re-mastered.

The seven maps are the following:

  • Bonfires from GR2
  • Desert Gulch from GR:AW
  • Fishing Village from GR:AW
  • Jungle Mines from GR:AW
  • Mountain Base from GR2: Summit Strike
  • Mountain Falls from GR2
  • Peninsula from GR2

IGN have a few screenshots and a video of the new map available for your viewing pleasure, and Mr. Nelson also informs us that any networking issues you may have had in the past should all now be sorted. Time to get gaming then! Let us know how these play if you download them.

Great surprise, but ubisoft should ask the players via a poll, and ask us which maps we would like redone. after all it is our money there after right? I would pay double for 10 of my fav maps from the entire ghost series..

Well I’m still yet to get a decent game online.
Personally cold never find a game running without having to sit there for 10 mins waiting for the round to finish.

So I’ve still got all the online maps to look forward to and probably still will this time next year.

Still , at least I can get a game with COD3 these days.

I’m really amazed at this pricing. 7 maps for $10!

And while I don’t remember any of the maps, I commend Ubisoft for giving a reasonable price. New or not, they are new to the game. I hope other developers price their content better.

What Ubi needs to do is release those other 5 Rainbow six: Vegas maps that they were suppose to that included Presidio

for real…

We should have a vintage selection for RB6 with maps like airport, cafe, presidio and the classic warehouse.
