The Chronicles of Riddick coming to 360
The last generation of gaming was host to many sleeper hits that hit store shelves with little publicity, only to surprise games with their unexpected quality; The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay for the Xbox was one of such titles that helped to raise the bar for FPS standards. Today, the original creators (Starbreeze) have announced The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena, an expanded recreation of the original.
Dark Athena will feature an extended single-player campaign and an all-new multiplayer mode as its main new additions. Starbreeze is also re-working the game’s graphic engine, making sure the game is in beautiful HD quality by the time it hits the shelves. As an added bonus, Dark Athena will also include an extensive director’s commentary mode.

I played the original on PC and was well impressed with it, i think the only reason it didn’t do to well on PC was it needed a beast of a machine to run it at the time mainly because it was graphically very advanced.
Was a great game but unless this has alot of new content i wouldn’t bother with it myself, but anyone who hasn’t played the original do yourself a favour and check this out it really is one of the best fps’s i have played.

This is fucking amazing man!!! I’m getting this game for sure. I just hope they make it alot longer than the one for xbox. Butcher’s Bay was one of the best FPS ever created, but it was way too short.

This is one of the few single player games I played trough two times… even halflife isn’t on that list.
The director’s commentary mode was available in the original mode after you finished the game, I played the PC version so I don’t know about the XBOX version.
Even though this game is great there better be a lot of new stuff before I spend 60 euro on it…
One of the most underated games of all time. I loved this games from story to gameplay. Getting a shank and fighting my way out of butcher bay was very cool. From the fighting mechs to the creatures in the sewers this had a little of everthing. Shoot me up with a triple syringe in the neck please…
