i’m a still bitter about star trek legacy but i’ve never played either of the first two fallout games & this sounds awesome. if it’s going up against KOTOR III ( hopfully ) then i proably won’t play it though.

They weren’t huge hits but they definitely had a bigger impact, better stories, better structured and with more options than Diablo. You’ll also notice that there are far more vocal fans regarding Fallout than Diablo.

Loved the original back in the day but this one is gonna suck hard. Bethesda has never managed to release a good game other than it’s Elder Scrolls series. And even that was quite questionable until the latest installment came out. One good game doesn’t make a godly company.

“Biggest RPG franchises in history”? Hardly. Underrated would be a better adjective. I loved the first two Fallout games, but they were hardly huge hits; I’m guessing that more copies were sold of the two lesser follow-on tactical/Diablo-clone games. Still, I’m looking forward to it, if it’s possible to maintain my enthusiasm for 18 months. (Yes, I know hardcore Fallout fanboys are capable of waiting and complaining for decades).
