New SWOS footage; play it before anyone else
Anyone anticipating the Summer release of Sensible World of Soccer will enjoy the embedded video after the jump, which is the first gameplay footage of XBLA SWOS in action. The developers claim that it is high definition, but YouTube compression says otherwise. There’s also an exciting competition to enter after the jump.
The action isn’t altogether that exciting for people who haven’t ever played the game before, but for those that have, then it’s a positive sight to see that the game looks very similar to what made it awesome all those years ago.
If you want to play the game before anyone else, Codemasters are planning a special competition. Commencing on Thursday 5th July at London’s Sports Cafe (yes UK’ers, this isn’t for the US!), two lucky people from the SWOS community get to be VIP guests, with Codemasters paying for it all (there will be others from the community, but they won’t be VIPs). It all starts at around 11 AM, where there will be a short presentation, a practice on the Xbox 360 pods, and then SWOS fans’ tournament with £100s of prizes on offer for the winners. It’s all by invite only and some lucky SWOS official forum members are already going. There are just two Terms and Conditions too; over 18s only, and you’ll have to pay for travel.
Sign up to the forums then and hope you get picked, if it isn’t too late. Let us know if you get an invite.
Thanks very much to Smiley Dave for submitting.
