Microsoft’s E3 plans leaked? [Updated]
As the new E3 approaches quickly, rumors have began spreading throughout forums across the internet (as most always do) about the schedules of the “big three” during the convention. A short while ago, rumors of Microsoft’s E3 plans began their imminent spread; although unconfirmed by Microsoft or any other official source, this rumor may give incite about what we may witness.
Update: Insiders within Microsoft told us that most of it’s complete bullshit with some obvious educated guesses in there, such as Fable 2 and Banjo. Consider this rumor debunked.
- Microsoft start first at 6.30pm GMT+0:00.
- New Crimson Skies game to be announced.
- Bungie working on new title/series not related to anything in the Halo/Marathon Universe.
- Epic Games to show some form of Gears of War 2 Trailer.
- Microsoft have bought the Star Wars Battlefront 3 rights. Trailer/Demo to be shown.
- Rare to show off Banjo Kazooie 3 (Banjo-Threeie).
- Rare to announce 2 new games.
- Rare to announce Kameo 2.
- Lionhead Studios show more of Fable 2.
- Microsoft to fund a new game based on Jason Bourne. It’ll be based on the books and not the film with Matt Damon.
- Team Ninja to show off Ninja Gaiden 2. Labeled 360 Exclusive.
- Apparently there’s news of a MGS Game for the 360. May not be the 4th Installment.
- Dead Rising 2 to be shown. May not be ready.From an E3 Floor Manager supposedly.
Originating from the Wii60 forums, this lineup indicates that Microsoft may have a very powerful showing this year. With possible new announcements for the Fable, Crimson Skies, Gears of War, Banjo Kazooie, Jameo, Dead Rising, and Ninja Gaiden franchises, the 360 could have a chance to let its already stellar library grow further. Also note the alleged new titles from Rare and Bungie, as well as a Metal Gear Solid title for the 360.
As stated previously, these plans are merely rumors thus far, and it is unlikely that Microsoft will announce their official lineup or confirm these showings any time soon. Although an E3 floor manager supposedly leaked these announcements, a more specific source has yet to be named.

Sounds like a wishlist… I definitely wouldn’t mind if that were true though…

I think it’s too early for some new Gears Of War 2 announcements. I also doubt they will waste their money on buying the rights to Star Wars Battlefront 3. Don’t get me wrong, it will be a good game - just not a system seller, so MS will not do that

And Battlefront is a good game, and lots of star wars fans and battlefront fans are going to buy it, so an exclusive won’t be a bad idea!
They could easily show a GoW2 video. They showed a video for Halo 3 at E3 last year and it comes out fall this year. They could show a video this year for a game coming out fall next year.
yeah it’s likely that Gears of War 2 will be out at the end or 2008 or sometime in 2009 at the latest
if this was all true that would be one hell of an E3 for Microsoft it’d be a big blow to Nintendo and Sony

most of this was stuff ive been waiting for. Maybe not an exclusive ninja gaiden, but the rest was basically a given. Cant wait for E3

yeah they want to keep it secret obviously otherwise it wouldn’t be a surprise at E3

Ninja Gaiden is an exclusive to the ps3 as i heard so how come the next will gonna be microsoft’s .. mmmm if they announced GOW 2 or anything of it..its gonna be released in 2008 or at least 2009 .we’ll have to wait oh my God .,, dead rising rox if they announced the second but i heard that its city and capacity won’t be that long but it will have a good multiplayer experience .. am not a fan of MGS but i hope it comes to 360 .. sure that nintendo and sony will have big announcments .
and wats up with the GTA label at that man’s hand .. i know that he’s from microsoft but i forgot his name ..sorry.. i think that M$ will show us something about GTA .

Ryu is weak compared to Dante from Devil May Cry. MGS isn’t coming to the 360. it’s still a ps3 exclusive. Oh,and how will M$ show us, 360 owners something about GTA? It belongs to Take-Two and Rockstar, remember?

I don’t care about any of those really except for Banjo-Kazooie 3. I’ve waited 6 years just for the announcement of that game. Enough’s enough, I mean really. Release it already.
