Assault Heroes is finally patched

Anyone that remembers Assault Heroes will give Sierra Online a sarcastic round of applause, as they have finally got a patch out to fix the connectivity issues that plagued the game upon release last December. About bloody time.

It’s a shame the game was crappy in the first place, but it’s nice of them to finally fix it for those that may still be enjoying the game anyway. Amusingly, the patch wasn’t downloadable when it was first put up, as it continually gave an error message saying the patch was not done properly. Poor Assault Heroes, nothing goes right for it. That problem has apparently now been fixed though.

There will be probably be some additional levels coming soon via DLC or something equally ridiculous now people can connect to one another. Six months on, who cares?

Has the patch worked for those still playing the game?

Is this a crappy game?

Anyone liked it?

Crappy?!? It’s one of my favorite LiveArcade games!
I had an absolute blast playing through it with a friend in offline-co-op. A lot of really nice graphics touches, too.

I agree. This is one of the better games in arcade. Rally X, Novadrome …. now they we’re crappy games.

Universally accepted as one of the best games on Live Arcade. Still….each to their own I suppose.

I played the demo, its fun

If it’s so crappy, why’d you give it an above-average 6/10?

Because the writers here have gotten massively undeserved egos.

And for the record…. that score was way off the mark. I would honestly give it an 8. Maybe even an 8.5 I love the old meets new approach…..simple mechanics, good controls and nice graphics. It’s like the games I played when I was younger, but allot easier on the eye.
To each his own I guess…. but even if the reviewer didn’t care for this type of game… he still should be able to recognize a good game when he plays it. The only thing “Crappy” around here is his review.

It’s a great vertical shooter. I never tried to play it online so I wasn’t annoyed by it I guess. One of the best games on Live I think. Maybe the poster of the story should find a friend to play coop offline. Then he wouldn’t be so bitter ;)

I only just discovered this little gem of an XBLA game and it’s as far from “crappy” as you can get.

love this game
