New Worms and FEAR DLC available on XBLM
Major Nelson has reported on the arrival of new downloadable content for Team 17’s Worms and Monolith’s FEAR. Even though the two games are as different to each other as games can possibly get, they do share a thing in common; this is the second time they’ve received some in-game DLC treatment.
Very much like its first DLC, today’s new content for Worms includes two new landscapes (Retro Landscape: Desert and Retro Landscape: Manhattan), each setting you back 150 MSP, a music pack (in fact mislabeled; should read Extra Speech Banks 2) which you can download for free, a picture pack coming in at 100 MSP, and finally a theme pack for 150 MSP.

Before running to your dear consoles to download this sweet content, you should know that some users have been experiencing issues after having downloaded it. Accordingly, you’d be better off just waiting for the team to take care of the bug. This is what Team 17 had to say on the problem, over in their forums:
Since release we have become aware of an issue that may affect some users. We are currently investigating this and will update you all as soon as possible when this has been rectified.
In case you do run into problems, deleting the new Retro Landscape: Manhattan will do the trick. This applies only to the users that have downloaded all the landscapes released to date.
Unlike Worms DLC, downloading FEAR Nightmare pack shouldn’t result in any lock-up issues. The map pack costs reasonable 500 MSP and contains four multiplayer maps, Helliport and Spill Kill for Conquer All or CTF players, and Asylum and Cafeteria for Deatmatch or Control players.
- Name: FEAR Nightmare Pack
- Price: 500 Points
- Availability: Not available in Asia or Mexico
- Dash Details: Can’t get enough F.E.A.R.? Then grab this map-pack loaded with 4 brand new multiplayer maps. For Conquer All and CTF fans, Heliport gives you close quarters combat with an enemy waiting in every corner while Spill Kill offers cramped sewers and open spill ways for non-stop action. Deathmatch or Control fans, prepare to fight it out in a large abandoned mental institution, in Asylum, and feast on hot-lead in Cafeteria.
Unfortunately for those who live in either Asia or Mexico, the above map pack isn’t available for download in your regions. But you can always use the Xbox Live region lockout workaround; just note that it’s a violation of the XBOX Live Terms of Service. As for the Worms DLC, though many users have had their 360s crash on them due to the nasty bug, the content is at least available in all Xbox Live regions.
Will you be downloading any of the above content?

worms content is a rip-off, and fear online is good, but not alot of people play it.
damn, I tought the FEAR map pack was going to be free!
A dutch game-site really said that!
no thx….fear is old shit……We need something new……they’re trying to compete with The Darkness……………………………..
Worms content should be free!!
And rightly so, FEAR’s multiplayer is better than The Darkeness’s……
i just downloaded the fear combat free pc game…hoping it’s good! (it’s just the MP portion of PC fear..but free!)
If they would just patch up The Darkness, it would be pretty fun. Too bad it’s unplayable with all the lag as it is.
if anybody still plays worms send me a friend request cause i wanna start playin again i used to be pretty good but i havent played sinec like that first month when it came out
Where does this new Worms music come in? During gameplay?
Actually, it’s “Extra Speech Banks”, and not new tracks
. It says so in the post too.
But the music is so boooooring…
