You waited in line when it first came out. You played the game and beat it solo and with buddies. You played again. Now you can continue your Gears of War fix through your music collection. Due to release July 31 is the Gears of War Original Soundtrack.

The Gears of War Original Soundtrack, through a licensing relationship with Epic Games, is being released by Sumthing Else Music Works. The soundtrack, which will be available both at retail and also for digital download, features over an hour of orchestral music from the game written by Kevin Riepl, orchestrated and conducted by Corey Status, and performed by The Northwest Sinfonia orchestra. The music is described as such by Sumthing Else:

This dramatic score accompanies the engaging and disturbing cinematic story including musical themes for the massively scoped worlds and memorable characters, and enhances the epic storyline that plays out like an intense and unsettling blockbuster action film.

The music from Gears of War was certainly enough to create plenty of hair-raising moments while gaming. Can you now imagine driving down the road as this plays through your car speaker system? Just try not to envision the Locust Horde chasing you…
