Capcom have sent out word that they plan to have a bigger presence at the upcoming Comic-Con than they did at E3, with a whole host of different games available for testing. One such game is Devil May Cry 4, which is likely to get some of you rocketing down to San Diego to give it a try.

For those that don’t know, Comic-Con is traditionally a four day event (Thursday through to Sunday), held at the San Diego Convention Center. It originally showcased comic books and other related popular arts, however the event has become more and more popular and has increased what is shown, including science fiction, fantasy, horror, anime, manga, animation, toys, collectible card games, video games, television, and movies.

Capcom are taking it seriously this year, and not only will they have a store where fans can buy games and merchandise (at cheap prices according to the Press Release), but there will also be a whole host of games available, as well as tournaments to participate in.

The highlight of the entire booth will be our 20×20 boxing ring arena, where we will be featuring 16 player Lost Planet tournaments, Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix tournaments, the EVO finals and performances from several Nerdcore rappers. The Capcom Arena is sure to be a huge crowd draw during the show, as passers-by will be able to watch the tournaments on overhead 50” monitors as they happen.

The Ring

Games on offer are Zack & Wiki, Harvey Birdman, Mega Man Star Force and Mega Man ZX Advent, Ace Attorney, Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, Rocketmen and Moto GP. Devil May Cry 4 and Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles will be playable in a private pod for those over the age of 17.

There is a fee to pay to enter the event, but no doubt some of the games have got you all excited, and there will be other booths available where no doubt more games will be available. Major Nelson will also be going, so head on down next Thursday if you want to meet him and play games before anyone else.
