Sega Rally Revo: Premier Class cars unveiled and more
E3 didn’t hold much information on SEGA’s next-gen take on Sega Rally; just some new ordinary screens. And while DiRT provides a decent single-player campaign and, well, not so decent multiplayer experience, we are perfectly aware of your thirst for more. Fret not though, eager off-road fans, as we’ve uncovered some interesting info on the much-awaited Sega Rally Revo.
Firstly, the developer recently lifted the veil on the first batch of cars that are to be featured in the game by way of their blog post on IGN.com. The Premier Class cars are the number one vehicles shown to the community which are soon to be followed by many other cars and classes. This first line-up of cars consists of the Subaru Impreza WRX STi, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX, Ford Focus RS, Peugeot 206 WRC, Škoda Fabia, and Citroën Xsara Rallycross car.
The Lead Car Artist, Keith Burden, also provides a short description for each car, so if you’re into that kind of stuff, go read the post to learn more about what you’ll be getting behind the wheel of later this year. The dev concludes Sega’s first blog post by saying:
We have lots of unlocks, different car variant states, multiple liveries and more importantly lots of specialist car unlocks. At this stage I can’t really divulge exact cars, but think about some of the true Rally (and SEGA Rally) classics and look out for some juicy bonkers motors thrown in for good measure.
Good to know that the developer has no intentions of straying away from its well-established roots. Before we wrap up this post, have a watch at this new technical demonstration presented by the game’s Studio Director, Guy Wilday. In this near 7-minute demo (courtesy of Gamersyde), he walks us through nearly every aspect of the latest Sega Rally, lending more insight into the deformation system and visuals.
Needless to say, the game seems to be heading in the right direction to offer up a solid and enjoyable off-road experience to Xbox 360, PS3, PSP, and PC gamers come this Fall.

Hooooooorrrraaaaaaayyyyyyy!!!!
the only thing that annoys me is the “sega rally next gen” comment, its not the next gen anymore and hasnt been for a while now
If you watched the video, you’d hear the dev use the term too.
when does “next gen” become “current gen” anyway?
Wii makes it hard to explain …
Can’t wait for this game!!!
