Lost finds a trailer and a release date

Comic-Con hasn’t been bringing the news quite as quickly as E3 did, but that hasn’t stopped some exciting news emerging from San Diego. Ubisoft have announced when they expect to ship their upcoming game Lost (based on the hit TV series), as well as providing some details on the game. There’s also a trailer available after the jump.

What we know so far is that Ubisoft plan to ship the game in the first quarter of 2008, providing a game shortly after the Christmas period for all those looking for something fresh no doubt.

Other information revealed that players will play an entirely new person from Oceanic flight 815, who is not one of the lead people from the TV series. Ubisoft revealed that gameplay will unfold in a similar way to that of the show, where players must try and unravel the mysteries contained on the island, as well as dealing with all of the old business in your past. Familiar environments and recognisable characters will make any fan of the series feel at home.

Whether the game will be as perplexing as its TV counterpart remains to be seen, but that will count for nothing if the game sucks. Will it?

Looks better than I expected, but I’m still really skeptical. I’m a pretty big fan of the show (especially after that amazing finale last season), so hopefully Ubisoft doesn’t screw it up.

Too bad when you beat the game you still won’t have any clue what’s going on.

Exactly. They’re not gonna reveal anything that won’t have already been mentioned in the TV show.

If anything, it looks like the game takes place during events which have already happened - seeing as the hatch is there, and Locke doesn’t seem to be a mentalist.

So what? It’s LOST guys!!! :D
