FIFA 08 release date announced, demo news
EA have sent round the word that this year, their football iteration will not be releasing in the same week as Konami’s here in Europe, but instead coming a month earlier. They also sent word that a demo is on the way for us all to try.
FIFA fans will have to wait until the 28th September to see the game on store shelves (probably a world-wide date), in what is likely a move to out-do Konami who usually release PES games in October (here in Europe). Being first on the market is all important, and those wanting a new game to enjoy through the new football season will surely snap up the first that comes.
As for the demo, EA plan to have it on the Marketplace on the 27th August, allowing us to play the game a whole month before the expected release date. How jolly kind of them.
As ever, the game is being released on all systems available, so expect your next-gen toaster to have a version soon.

why would any rite minded person want to spend their money on this crap just becuase its out a little earlier
haha this to me says that fifa is once again crap. I think that EA are rekleasing iit a month before evo knowing that loads of little kids will not be able to wait a month. They know that their game is vastly insuperior to pro evo so they are trying to cash in before people get teh chance to play a propper game. And no im no fanboy, i simply know that pro evo is a footballers football game.
Wait, Europe has been getting both games released at the same time? In the US FIFA has always been released before Winning 11 by a couple of months.
It’d be cool to see the sales totals for both games in Europe and N.America from previous years and see if the staggered release in N.America has any effect on sales numbers.
