Following on from our report on a Walmart ad about an impending Xbox 360 price-drop, we now have what seems to be further confirmation. Another advert from chain store Circuit City now seems to confirm that the price of the system is going to be heading south very soon. Details next.

Joystiq have a photograph of a Circuit City advert that once again highlight a price-drop for the Xbox 360 in the USA. The advert shows us that beginning August 12th the Xbox 360 premium will be $350, the Elite will be $450 and the Core will have a $20 drop and be $280.

Rumours have been rife of a price-drop, further enhanced by these recent adverts. It certainly seems like Microsoft are keen to price the Xbox 360 more competitively in the light of Wii’s widespread success. A very aggressive approach, but will it pay off? It now seems we have everything but official confirmation of a price-drop, so hopefully all the details and information will be revealed soon. Until then, splurge your opinions below.
