TimeShift dated at last

It goes without saying that TimeShift has had a bumpy road over the past few years. First announced by Atari in January 2005, the game’s faced numerous delays until it was finally ditched and then later acquired by Vivendi Games. Having received a hefty makeover in the process, TimeShift is looking better than ever and will soon be ready to take on this holiday season.

Yes, the game has finally got a release date. Well, two dates, as a matter of fact. Sierra, a subsidiary of Vivendi Games, has announced that their time-traveling FPS will be shifting its way onto the Xbox 360 and PC on October 30th. The PS3 edition, on the other hand, will become available on December 3rd.

Although the fact that TimeShift has been revamped is certainly a good thing to bear in mind, especially after the disaster of a demo that was made available at the time of still being in the incompetent hands of Atari, it’d be even more reassuring if Sierra was to release a playable demo on the Marketplace before the release.

Will you be traveling through time come October?

Yeah…. good luck competing with the million other games coming out this holiday season. Honestly, it would do a lot better if it came out this summer or early next spring.

Early next spring? With Too Human, UT 3, Splinter Cell Conviction, and (possibly) GTA IV nestled in there already?

This is why I am happy as hell that I have Gamefly. I can buy some games right off the bat, and the others I can rent and buy them when I can for cheaper.
