New Scene It? screenshot reveals the interface
Looking back, E3 seems like months and months ago, as the information that came has slowly been forgotten. As a reminder, Microsoft sent out one screenshot of their upcoming family-friendly game “Scene It?” to showcase what it will look like when it ships this holiday season.
For those that don’t remember the game from July, it is a quiz game, meaning questions obviously have to be answered. Sounds pretty boring for a game (despite the Buzz! series on the PS2 doing pretty well). However, Microsoft are following in Buzz’s footsteps, supplying added fun by including four “Big Button” controllers in the package, all wireless so all the family can have a blast. Thanks to infra-red technology, there should be little to no delay in the button presses either, reducing the amount of arguments that will no doubt be caused by the game.
- New movies, puzzle challenges and multiplayer action. The Xbox 360 game includes more than 1,800 questions not seen before in any other “Scene It?” retail product. “Scene It?” for the Xbox 360 will feature five new types of puzzle challenge that are sure to keep gamers guessing all night long, including “Credit Roll,” where players guess the film based on the list of characters and actors; “Child’s Play,” where they guess the name of the film based on a child’s drawing of a film scene; and “Quotables,” where they are challenged to finish a famous line from a featured film. In addition, all 21 puzzle types have been designed to provide the ultimate multiplayer experience on Xbox 360.
- HD. “Scene It? Lights, Camera, Action” offers a wide assortment of movie clips in HD format as well as hundreds of stills and audio clips from players’ favorite films.
- Minimal repeats. The Xbox 360 version keeps track of questions that have already been asked and minimizes repeats so players rarely get the same question twice.
The “Scene It?” series can also be found on interactive DVDs in various countries and languages. Some of you may well have one lying around somewhere; the 360 version will be the ultimate though, as it will no doubt boost your Gamerscore tremendously (although there won’t be much of a single player experience here, so you’ll have to hope for some online play with no lag).
As for DLC, well the game is perfectly set up for it, so expect fresh questions and themes after the game ships. Please, please be a reasonable price.
The game is expected to ship for the perfectly reasonable sum of $59.99, so there’s no excuse not to have some family time this Christmas.

i loved Buzz! ill get this, great for drinking games
depending on when it comes out in the UK and how much we will probably get ripped off for it compared to over in america, I may get this. Always have fun playing buzz after a few at the pub.
I’m awaiting the “It has no online so i wont be buying it” parade to come in yet!
but it does have online
yup, you always play with someone else, physically present or online
most def buy though, hope there comes a sports dlc
As fun as it looks, I can’t see myself spending 60 bucks on it…Maybe if there’s not too many good games coming out next summer, I’ll get it then with a bit of a lower price.
Well…I’m with “Curtis Jackson” on this one…with all the awesome games coming out this fall, I’m gonna be broke by Christmas… which means I’ll probably get it in 08 at some point when there’s a lull in new games.
59.99 with 4 contollers and 1800 questions plus DLC to come? dang another game to makie my wallet a barren wasteland thank god i chose the 360 2 years ago.
This looks like a great offer, maybe I can convince somebody to get it for christmas, ‘cos I’m buying enough games already
