I have a 51 inch HDTV and I really can't see anything wrong. The game is wonderful. I couldn't be happier.

the game is not as perfect as we had all imagined, it has a flaw, where previously we'd expect there to be none.

i mean don't get me wrong, it's a 9.7 on IGN for a reason.

but it has a flaw.

Wow - if you let BS like this "tain" your experience with a game, you really ought to pack it in and return the 360 to the store, or maybe lock yourself up in your house and don't read web sites.

This widescreen issue is something that is annoying as news.

9.5/10 gamers wouldnt even know about it, wouldnt bother comparing a fullscreen version of it to a widescreen.

But then we come here, read this crap, and our vision of our amazing new game is slightly tainted.

I enjoyed the 2.5 hours i played of this last night, and pretty much forgot about this once i started playing. But this WAS part of the reason i decided to play Twilight Princess for 3/4 of my game time last night instead of Bioshock. My vision of perfection was tainted, so i avoided it for a bit.

This game is absolutely amazing and I can't say I'm having any problems at all running it on a widescreen Sony Bravia HD.

Gamespot or someone also complained that it freezes up for 1-5 seconds at a time after playing it for several hours -- again, a problem I have not experienced at all.

This game is beautiful and nearly perfect. Get it.

But if you extend the screen horizontally, you see more of the world on the screen, what needs more hardware power, or could decrease the frame rate.

I think a simple patch cant address this, without threatening the game performance.
Maybe thats simply how they intended it to be?

It's for both PC and 360 apparently. As long as they're going to patch it up I'm happy. Got a dispatch email from Gameplay Uk last night, so hopefully mine will arrive a day early \o/

But the issue is that widescreen is intended to more completely fit a human's field of view horizontally. So compared to old-style 4:3 televisions, the screen should be *extended* horizontally, not *clipped* vertically like they've done here. They're essentially handicapping players adopting modern standards this way.

Interesting, can't say I'm not disappointed, even thought I haven't picked it up yet, I hope they fix this. Can anyone tell me, is the widescreen/fullscreen option that is affected one that you choose within the game, or just the normal settings of your television?
