i also read some stuff saying that the graw demo was finsihed as well. it just seems MS is having problems doing anything lately. even street fighter is finished they are just having problems get approvals all the stuff done on the microsoft side. i know what they are doing saving everything up until the ps3 shows and then throwing everything at it. too bad those of us who are early adopters are getting screwed right now…..
Give MS a break…They’ve had to put up with A LOT of stick lately, what with the 360 launch, people complaining of shortages, it being released too early/not being ‘next gen’, dashboard crashes/dashboard updates, backwards compatibilty, game patches and much more.
Also the Halo 2 VISTA only game and their new Origami project being uncovered beofre they hoped and now people complaining of demos not being ready when they want, granted - they said a lot of stuff, just give them time.
I must say all those people that are bullying around about some demo’s that don’t show up the same day as announced or something like that, don’t post these nonsense please.

i would be very happy if they just would tell us something like, “Ok, the uploading process is a 72 hour period” or you know make a announcement on the majors blog saying so and so demo is finished and will be available at this time.
online games and services are different then say the gamecube or ps2. no one expects them to put much effort into ps2 online, but when u pay 50 dollars a year for xbox live u darn well should be informed about whats going on. heck even if they are having problems a courteous we are experiencing delays in our q and a department, we apologize for any inconvenience. but no, we bought the console early therefore we just have to put up with no shows and the only excuse its launch problems. then i say dont release a console with launch problems.
And then what, then it is not at the 3rd of March here, then it becomes the 13th of March even if MS had promised. Allright you have paid a price for the 360, high is the question and can be discussed.
The costprice is higher then the price all of us paid. If you want a comparable GPU with 48 pipelines you need to get the ATI 1900 for at least 1,5 times the price of the complete 360…
I just can’t imagine why so many people can get so upset by something so minor where life is not all about. Then N3 demo comes in 10 days and the information is not right. So what. As far as the software is good, demo or game finished I don’t mind at all. Even if a patch has to be downloaded.

PS3’s going to be an overly expensive machine that can do the same things as the 360 without the dashboard and Live centralization. Its only hopes are Ratchet and Clank and MGS4…let’s hope for a multiplatform Katamari, eh?

i personally believe that M$ deserves all the heat they are getting. they took a big risk delivering at holiday 2005, and they did so because from a business standpoint, it was the correct decision. however, they have lost most of the bets they placed at launch (i’m getting symbolic here, try to stay with me), and they are now refusing to pay the price. they are behaving like they have given us a machine that has delivered on their promises. i got a bunk over heating machine at launch, it took many months to get a good one, and have been absolutely blown over by the p.r. bullsh!t, and misinformation. rumors and inuendo not withstanding, we are given a certain amount of legitimate information, and i would say most of it is coming from a horses ass somewhere right now, and that makes me sad.

where is all the talk about the ps3 coming from? this is a XBOX site. we are just expressing our opinions that if they cant be sure when something is coming out or they arent sure if they can work out the online issues with something dont talk about it. and they also shouldnt approve titles that arent finished, ala cod 2 online and so forth.
do i think i could do a better job? if i were a 40 year old business vet with billions of disposable dollars to get a job done damnstriahgt i could do better. id sure as hell not launch a console with unfinished software. they should have launched the console in april, only use next gen titles instead of porting crap like gun and at least opened up clan support channels on live. i swear if they just give us clan support IN THE NEXT GEN LIVE which is already there in the older live, id shut up. just give us one thing that screams next gen besides graphics.

who cares about a demo. 5 days till GRAW and Burnout. 3 weeks till Oblivion. Everyone will download the demo when it comes out, so when it comes out is inconsequential. We have only ourselves to blame for the demos not coming out till the game does. Everyone complained about the Full Auto demo and now companies are afraid to release them.

first of all, i believe that if the demo comes out after the game comes out, most of us here will NOT be downloading it (we will have already bought the full version). and second, i do not believe you are using the word inconsequential correctly. and i hope you noticed that people complained about the full game of full auto too, not just the demo, does that make sense to you? the only reason we have given developers not to give us a demo (if they have it) is if the game sucks ass.

Even after the game comes out, it’s important to have demos so you can decide on whether or not you like the game. Pre-release demos, however, I prefer, so I agree with you on that.

Sega has gone on record saying that the demo, probably hurt sales. Why would a company now want to release a demo before the game comes out and kill potential sales of their game. If you are going to buy the game anyway, they can only lose your business.
But if the demo is good, they could raise sales. If this The Outfit demo is any good, I’ll buy it, but if it’s not, then I wont, but I wasn’t going to buy itanyway, so they haven’t lost a consumer, they made one. (If the demo is any good)
with a game like full auto things are different. Full auto was a hit or miss sort of game. there was no predecessor to ring in an already well established fan-base like there is with GR. everybody knows the name Tom Clancy and he is known for the strategic military game play found in most Tom Clancy games. bringing out a GR demo will not affect sales in the slightest as everybody already knows what to expect.
