MoH: Airborne safely lands onto Marketplace
It turns out the demo has been let loose from the grasp earlier than pointed out by EA Community Manager just two days ago; a rare sight to behold indeed. The Medal of Honor: Airborne demo can now be found sitting in the demos section on the Marketplace.
The demo is of course free of charge and is luckily available in all Xbox Live regions. Thus, anybody above the age of thirteen can commence downloading right away. Also, it clocks in at 972.84 MB, so if there’s shortage of available space on your HDD, we recommend you free it up somewhat. For further details on the demo, hop over here.

I can download a file at pretty much the same speed as on my PC, so there’s no issue unless you have a super-high-speed internet connection and then complain it’s slower than usual. if a lot of people are downloading a new demo then of course it’ll be slow, and that’s why MS are making XBL downloads faster (see http://www.xboxic.com/news/3551)

Actually, this demo is downloading pretty fast. 1% every 20 seconds or so.
I just started my download using FIOS. I will time it to see how long it takes.
I really have no interest in this game so I sure hope the demo will change my mind. BIA is the game I want instead.
It WAS going pretty fast, 36% within 5 minutes.
But now it hangs on 37% grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
took me 40 minutes to download. this game should be called “medal of honor: aliasing.” it’s decent but did not hold my interest. lots of bullets everywhere. bring on cod4!!
It took me 15 minutes. One of the fastest downloads. I just finished playing the demo and it’s not bad.
The graphics need work. Aliasing is a problem. The concept of land in different places with different scenarios is pretty good.
If nothing changes with the final product, this seems like a rental at best. Nothing signifciantly new here outside of the parachuting.
these world war 2 games make me sick, they are always making you kill the germans, when will a good ww2 game come out when they make you a german and you get to kill the americans?
It’s simple Hitler, the Germans lost an no one want to play the loser unless you’re a loser yourself.
I’d love to play the germans in a single player… it’d pose some interesting story ideas. I don’t see why you can’t see that. “UNF, I DUN NEED NO STORY AH JUST NEED MAH GUNS TO KILL THANGS, HURR HURR”
So instead we could have:

It took me 3 hrs to download… that’s pretty damn fast for me too.
took me 3 hours. Meh. Popular things take longer, rule of the internet. Its not a bad game, I like the way the grenades blow up (great effects) and the freedom on the map you get. Suffers from good old Unreal 3 problems - overshine, odd ragdoll and strange effects. Still looks VERY pretty
We have all been playing WWII games for like what? 10 years now? Im happy as hell COD 4 went Modern. I will give this a try, but WWII games no longer have that “WOW” factor for me anymore.
I expected a completely different reaction from you guys on this demo. This game looks absolutely beautiful ! I thought I was done with WW2 games myself but this game is just to sick to ignore. Definetly buying this one.
I thought i was done with WW2 games too but this game really seems to be moving the genre forward with all the new features, like upgradeable weapons and the parachuting which is awesome and adds a more tactical aspect to the intense gameplay.
ok i played it lastnight drunk and i have to say u cant even walk and aim at the sametime or im i missing sumthing?
I just saw the surround sound speaker placement tester in the options menu of the demo, very nice extra something id like to see more of in other demos.
no you cant aim in and walk you can pivot left and right and up and down. which i love by the way
Think COD 3 with innovative AI. A rental for sure but I’ll save my dough for COD4.
