Last month at E3, Microsoft at last decided to take the wraps off Mass Effect’s release and announced that we would be seeing it on store shelves sometime in November. Now, the release of the futuristic action RPG has been narrowed down to the week of November 20.

Bioware’s Community Coordinator, Chris Priestly, today unveiled on the official forum that Mass Effect will be making a debut on the 20th November in North America and on the 23rd in Europe. As far as the rest of the world is concerned, Priestly noted that release dates for other regions will be made known in the near future.

For those that have been living in a well-concealed cave for the past few years, Mass Effect is Bioware’s most ambitious undertaking to date, and as such promises to shake up the RPG genre. It hopes to achieve the hefty task by introducing enticing features like non-linear gameplay set in space, interactive dialogue sequences, a vast number of customization options with regard to your appearance, ego, weapons, skills and more. Add to that impressive next-gen graphics and a full-fledged storyline, and fans of the genre have something big to count down days to. Roll on November 20!
