The Club’s supposed Fall release has grown grimmer and grimmer over the past few months due to lack of coverage and word on a more accurate release date. The latter has changed though, as Sega has announced that their “shooter/beat-’em-up/racer” will be shooting its way to North American retail stores in February next year.

The game will grant players the option to choose from eight different characters, with each one of them sporting his (her?) own combat style and agenda. Besides a solid single-player experience, the game is said to include a nice mix of multiplayer options. To top that off, The Club promises to offer the explosive action of the shooter genre fused with break-neck speed of high-octane race titles to create a radically new kind of action experience. Sounds exhilarating, to say the least.

The Club is in development for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC.
