First Silent Hill 5 gameplay footage creeps out
Since the official announcement of the next-gen debut of Silent Hill at this year’s E3, we’ve been treated to a couple of screenshots and a host of details on the game’s story, gameplay, and presentation. While the screens did a goob job at portraying the dreadful atmosphere, nothing beats seeing the game in action. This is where Konami and their frightening gameplay videos step in.
The first video shows off a real-time transition from the real world to the dark, creepy world. As the environment gets grittier, one of the game’s numerous mutilated enemies emerges from one of the toilets.
In this next footage, a naughty kid pushes a rusty old wheelchair down the stairs, clearly having no good intentions, and makes a run for it. Sadly, our protagonist fails to grasp the kid’s “Get the hell outta here!” message and goes right after him.
The third video demonstrates various locales full of scary ambience. The last scene is especially startling, as the protagonist hands over a worn-out doll to a malevolent, scraggly kid.
The final video is a rather long one. It’s a 1UP video interview with The Collective’s lead artist Brian Horton, lead designer Jason Allen, and lead scripter David Verfaillie, where they discuss how the fifth installment is going to improve upon previous iterations, and the developer’s first time with the franchise. A must see for fans of the series!
Silent Hill 5 is in development for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, and is slated to come out sometime next year.

Yeah, still early. But as with the other silent hill games, hopefully will turn out very nice indeed

I never even finished “The Room”. Freaked me out to much and didn’t like playing it on my own. Prefered to get my mates to play it for me and let me watch. Something about holding the pad and being expected to be in control of the situation put the shits right up me in that game, genuinely disturbing.

I remember crapping myself at a bit near the start of three too, some big thing just jumped in my screen and I screamed down the phone (Which was I was talking on at the time, for some reason)

Silent Hill is like my Stars Wars. I look foward to many sequels.
looks cool. cant wait but your vids are just a choped up trailer. you should have used the whole thing its much better
