Patch avalaunch
Major Nelson updated his blog with the message that a bunch of games will download an update when they are loaded. The games are:
- King Kong
- Xbox 360 Arcade: Smash TV
- Toryumon
- Xbox 360 Arcade: Hardwood Hearts
- Madden NFL 06
With these updates it confirms the change log of the last dash update.
The March 2006 Xbox 360™ update will prepare your Xbox 360 console for future system and title updates. This free* update is available to all Xbox Live® members. Your console will be updated the next time you sign in to Xbox Live.
No Call of Duty?

Hell no, Infinity Ward have been working for 4 months on the patch now, and they probably need another 5 or 6 or so

I wrote to Infinity Ward about the COD2 patch and this is the reply I got……

Whats the Madden patch about? I hope it just allows me to play my madden for xbox on my 360.
Microsoft is not stupid to release the patch the same day with the demo “The Outfit”.
Imagine if the patch was availble,noone would play the demo.Simple:D…
They got 3 more days to release the patch,if they dont,bad for them!
Can confirm I’ve just tried King Kong and the patch adds a “Brightness (Gamma)” setting in the Video options menu.
Assumedly this is to fix the problems reported a while ago with the game being too dark on standard (ie non hi-def) Tv’s.
It gives you about 20 different brightness levels to choose from.
i’d imagine the madden is a lag fix… well atleast i hope it is
No update fun for me. I have none of those games.
CoD 2 is the patch that is needed the most.
I’m affraid that CoD2 has been killed. GR:AW is edging ever so closer, and then sudden death. Sorry, but lets look at hype…GR:AW’s got plenty, so I imagine everyone will be buying and not caring about CoD 2’s lag now.
I downloaded the patch for Madden 06 and ever since my game has frozen in 10 out 12 games. It’s always in the first quarter and it’s very frustrating. One game I was receiving first so I ran back for about 20 yards, got a phone call and paused the game, came back about 5 minutes later and the game was frozen! I contacted EA and have yet to get a reply.
It really blows since the game is now unplayable for me. Anybody else having similar issues?
let me start by saying xbox 360 broke my heart… and me. I have spent $700 on my system and only about 1 out of 3 games i play doesnt freeze up… if your reading this to see if you want an xbox 360 or ps3… be smart and get the ps3.
