More Forza 2 content inbound
Last month, Turn 10 kicked off its series of downloadable content for the racing sim Forza Motosport 2 by adding a smattering of cars to an already packed roster. Now, the developer is prepping the second batch of DLC due out as soon as at the end of this month.
Gamespot recently had the chance to shoot the breeze with the lead designer, Dan Greenawalt, and go over what the DLC is going to include, the amount of work that went into creating it, and the crew’s plans for the future. According to Gamespot, the second DLC pack will be made available for 400 MSP by the end of the month, and will feature the following list of cars:
- 2007 SEAT Leon Cupra (FREE DOWNLOAD)
- 2006 Audi R10 (#8 Audi Sport Team Joest) Prototype
- 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T Hemi
- 2006 Dodge Challenger Concept
- 2006 Honda Civic Si Coupe
- 2007 Honda Civic Type-R
- 1967 Lamborghini Miura P400
- 2006 Lamborghini Miura Concept
- 2007 Porsche 911 GT3 RS (997)
- 2007 Saturn Sky Red Line
- 2007 SEAT Leon Supercup
As for what Turn 10 is cooking up for the future downloadable content before turning their full attention to the next iteration in the series, Dan Greenawalt said they certainly have a few more surprises in store for its dedicated fanbase:
DLC packs are like birthday presents for the game and the community–a big part of enjoying it is the surprise. That said, it’s safe to say that we’ll have several more gifts to share with the Forza community before we turn our energies full time to working on the next Forza.
We have a lot more in store for the rabid Forza community. It’s much easier to “quickly” turn around a cars pack than a track pack. Of course, “quickly” being a relative term in next-gen game production. Tracks take upwards of 3 to 5 months to build, plus testing and iteration time–not to mention the reference collection and coordination trips. That said, DLC tracks are on the way. We started working on DLC tracks at the same time we started the Nissan pack.
We’ll let you know the moment the second batch of content hits the Marketplace.

give us some F1 cars and we’ll be happy. Trust me, F1 cars going around the Nissan Speedway will bring hours and hours of playtime.
Sony hold the F1 license.
Give us an A1GP car then
Paintable of course
thank god for this content because my ford pinto was getting really beat up, I dont know how much longer it would last!
you spelled your name right! good job.
Thank God!
We don’t want more fucking cars. There are too many as it is. People drive the same 10 cars every race anyway.
There are almost no tracks at all. 12 tracks does not cut it after 4 months.
GIVE US MORE TRACKS!!!!(no ovals or drag strip either)
I agree, but I don’t expect the tracks for at least another month, no matter what Che might say.

I always get my birthday presents for free?
Woo, new tracks would make me shoot my load.
While we’re on the subject of Forza. Does anyone know if all the cars need to be in the garage in order to unlock the secret achievements or whether they just need to have been bought in the past? I’m talking about the all cars achievement in particular. If i have to buy them all again then i’m gonna go ape….
You must have them all at the same time.
Uber gay
my bf loves this game!
You help him stick-shift?
No fix for the freezing bugs, yet they release more DLC.Its all about the $$$ for turn 10. Yes a a small % of players are affected by the freezing, but thats not inmportant to turn 10, Wont be buying any more turn 10 games.
Well just goes to show that some devs support the game and the fans for months possibly even year/s post release, and some don’t(*COUGH* EA!)
1970 Dodge Challenger R/T Hemi
2006 Dodge Challenger Concept
1967 Lamborghini Miura P400
2006 Lamborghini Miura Concept
Very nice the classics and their remakes.
I wonder if the civic type R is the jdm and not the ukdm one….
Not again Turn 10. I like mainy others were really looking forward to some tracks. So 3 to 5 months from the Nissan DLC so that makes it Christmas(presents!!!) The Nissan pack was great if you were in the US and could enter the tournaments and now even more cars, by the time the tracks come out will be in Call of Duty & Burnout paradise land.
I want Jeeps
this game needs more tracks not more cars
Bond Bugs ftw!
