Bladestorm demo available; Conan next Monday
Arnold Schwarzenegger would be pleased if he heard that developer Nihilistic has completed a demo for Conan. On Monday October 8 you can assume the role of this Neanderthal character and rip a few holes in your enemies. If you really need your chopping fix right now, you can try the Bladestorm: The Hundred Years’ War demo which is available on the Xbox Live Marketplace.
Bladestorm: The Hundred Years’ War should become available on November 2 in Europe and November 6 in the US.

Dash Text: In the 14th century a quarrel over English Succession to the French throne escalated into what history would call the Hundred Years’ war. This ongoing war exhausted the armies of both sides and there was a growing dependence on mercenary soldiers. Take charge as a mercenary leader and contract your army to the English and French. Immerse yourself in ferocious battles an innovative action style enables you to defeat countless numbers of soldiers with one cleverly chosen attack command. Establish a reputation as a leader of men, build your war chest and lure hardened warriors to your employ. Outwit and overwhelm your opponents with dominating force to be the last one standing when the dust settles on one of history’s greatest conflicts.
The hack & slash action adventure game Conan is not to be confused with MMO Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures which is coming out somewhere in 2008. Conan however, is already available in stores in Europe everywhere since last week, and it’ll be available in the US on October 23.

I just hope Conan allows us to all do what we desire the most “To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of the women”
You have no idea how close that actually is to the game
There are lots of boobies ya know
And there is a counter in game for all the limbs you removed from previous owners.
Ah, but do you know the secret of steel?
Tried the Bladestorm demo, and hated it. I much prefered N3.
Meh, you can round the two of them up along with Heavenly sword and every Dynasty Warriors and set the fuckers on fire for all I care for this shite.
Hate these button mashing games.
Try to lose that Bladestorm = N3 = DW = SW shit because it couldn’t be further from the truth.
Bladestorm is more of a rts-rpg than a button masher or anything like DW. KOEI + lots of enemies doesn’t automatically mean DW clone.
Give this game a chance. Once you get past the training and start getting the hang of it you’ll realize that there is A LOT of strategy and depth as well as character development to be utilized.
So then it’s a Kingdom Under Fire clone?
If it’s KUF clone then I can get with that. Good game adds a bit of strategy to the mix, but if its one of the other lot then it can get rammed.
So which is it folks, answers on a postcard or just on this thread will do.
No need to give this game a chance folks. The game very definitely = N3 = DW = SW shit.
I wasted my time and bandwidth downloading 2gigs in order to find this out.
Are you one of the devs or something Voyager2k?
I can see no other reason for telling such lies about this game.
Sure hope this is at least half the game God of War has been. No PS3 God of War in sight anywhere so I hope this would at least quench so thirst.
I posted a small “review” about Conan on the forum here at XBOXIC.
Will be playing Conan in a few hours. I’ll post some thoughts on it.
Didn’t get it oh well.
1.91GB!!!!! JEEEEEEEEEEZ!
+1
Conan is a pretty decent game. Some funny camera-work at some scenes but overall it’s pretty good bashing with a nice addition considering you can master about 75 different moves (and yes, it WILL spill gore all over the place).
