I bought this game last year when it came out on DS, and it was the only copy the store ordered. He kinda looked at me funny when I asked about it, but it’s an extremely-well done title that’s totally worth your time.

game of the year candidate imho. i stopped playing halo 3 when this came out. havent picked up halo 3 since. i simply cannot believe people complaining at the price of a 1200 point ($15!!!) game that is one of the best experiences on xbox 360 to date. it would be worth it at full boxed retail price for me.

seriously for an extra $5 you are getting 10 times the gameplay and depth you get from any other xbla title, and 5 times the gameplay and depth you get from most full releases.

as for “its JUST bejewelled”, well it IS in the same way that “a ferrari is JUST a car”… lol

Sorry, I just don’t get it. It’s Bejewelled, for crying out loud. I can play this for free as much as I want on the web browser of my choice — and I don’t have to deal with an AI that seems to know where all the secrets are and what gems are about to drop.

If I want to battle it out in Etheria, I’ll go play Warlords Battlecry on my PC, except instead of suffering through round after round of Bejewelled, I’ll battle through a full RTS. A lot of the sounds and some graphics were lifted straight from that game anyway (the long-horned skull, the female voice announcing victory/defeat/imminent doom; I was actually surprised I didn’t see some of the same hero pictures).

I just don’t see the draw, not for $15 on XBLA and certainly not for $30 on any other system.

60$? More like 70€’s in Belgium… that’s a 100 dollars… a hundred for a single game. That’s why I wait until they are priced around 35€…

Puzzle Quest is a retail game for the PSP and DS. It’s like $30. 1200 pts is a good deal for a good game.

Gamespot also gave puzzle quest a 9/10. Typically reviews are also based on expectations and value.

You are nuts if you don’t think this is a full retail game. 50+ Hours of gameplay. A poor mans rpg if you will. It retailed for $30.00 on the PSP and DS. I don’t see how people could only want watered down 800 point games. The arcade could be so much more.

I can’t tell you how lame I thought this game looked, after playing the demo though… I was surprised how fun it actually was. Seems pretty cool actually.

Easily the best money spent on an arcade title. I have already spent more time with this and enjoying it more than any other arcade title to date. This could have been a $30 budget title and been worth it.

Those of you picking at the price and descriptions are truly missing out. I find it sort of amusing that folks will argue/cry over $5 (800pts vs 1200pts), but then go drop $60 for the standard games.

It might not be the best game for everyone, but I am finding it to be the best quality and quantity for XBLA the same as the Orange Box is for 360 retail games.

I’m confused - if the AI cheats and nobody plays online, how do you get a decent game out of this?

Not convinced by the “it’s actually really cheap compared to other formats” tag either. If this was a full retail title, they’d charge full price for it, at which point it would stand no chance against the 360’s array of killer apps. As things stand, it is what it is - an expensive download. I like my arcade games like I like my women - cheap and simple.

This is a must have game and shouldnt be seen as an arcade title as its a full game that came out on the PSP and DS

+1 to price. only 1200 pointer i ever bought was bankshot and that was just because it was all very exciting back at the start. i really wanted lumines but not for 1200 - so am excited to get that for 800 tomorrow. 1200 for puzzle quest again not for me, but 800 perhaps. vote with your wallet as always.

1200 pts ($15) is not to much for a great game.
Puzzle Quest is a great game. (IMO)
