Patch for Team Fortress 2 on the way
Despite the awesomeness that is The Orange Box, one fundamental problem is the lag, plaguing the experience in the multiplayer game Team Fortress 2, specifically when playing a sixteen player match. Do not fear, a patch is on the way.
Valve are fully aware of the problem, and have already sent the fix off to Microsoft to go through the probably-lengthy certification system. European gamers who haven’t already imported the region free game won’t have experienced this yet, so it’s something to look forward to this Friday.
Hopefully we won’t have to wait too long to get a remedy for the problematic situation. We will keep you posted.

Does anyone else have it freeze up occasionally? I would like to see those issues fixed. Another thing that sucks is the matchmaking. It takes forever to find a good game and it could be a little simpler. Once you’re in a game it’s a blast though!
Sometimes it disconnects me from Live and freezes. I have to turn the xbox off…
I’ve barely had any lag, and I haven’t had any freezing issues either. Though I usually play with just 12 players…
Patch won’t hurt, though. And yes, this game is awesome.
its bullshit developers releasing shit that isnt finished and they are like oh we will have a patch for you in 2 weeks so you can enjoy the game you have purchased from them.
They spent a lot of time polishing and packaging 5 games into one. It’s a miracle this is the only problem.
I got it yesterday (and yes I’m in Europe) and played a bit…I have to say it’s a great game but in several matches the lag was incredible! My player was lagging behind by about 30 seconds or so
i got an update this morning for it.
Does this problem only exist with the XBoX version or with the PC aswell?
