Isn’t this EXACTLY what they wrote in their last announcement?? Actually last time they said soon and when I called they said about a week and a half. That was 3 weeks ago. Now they’re saying a month. Wow. They really should be held accountable.

I don’t think anyone’s ever going to buy an IW game again if they screw this one up again this time: they’re really on their last credits. And they’ve just missed releasing the patch for GRAW anyway so probably noone is going to give a flying fuck anymore about the CoD2 patch.

You know what will happen? I do because Ive called about 6 times, each time at around 9PM Eastern Time. Dial ‘0′ for operator. A receptionist named Janet will answer (she has a Texan accent). You tell her you’re having trouble with an Xbox 360 game. She will tell you that she’s going to get someone that knows about this problem and then she’ll pretend to be going to get someone. Then she’ll come back and say ‘Oh I’m sorry (your name), but the person who usually does this has gone home, can you leave your phone number?” I used a different name each time so that she doesn’t catch on but she says the EXACT same thing to me every time. Infinity Ward is Garbage, they don’t care one bit about customers once they’ve got them. Try calling. Good Luck.

I just called and the same lady answered and i was able to speak to Patrick. Patrick said the patch will be out in a week or two or sometime this month.

Wow Mars I think you managed something that tons of people in this 1351 post topic on Xbox.com forums failed: to speak to an IW employee who actually says something.

Another few actually did report speaking to a representative and they were also promised a month I think back in January

it’s janice by the way. and she kindly informed me that the person who deals with “people like me” is on another line. i courteously informed her that i would not mind waiting and could she put me on hold. she responded that she had no idea how long he would be occupied and likely i would be on hold indeterminately but she would check back with me personally if it took too long. within seconds i heard a voice (the waterboy perhaps). i explained the problems i have been having getting into games, and with the lag, and he told me… god i can barely say it… he TOLD me that what i was dealing with was a POPULARITY PROBLEM. that so many people were enjoying their terrific online play i would legitimately have to wait in line. he TOLD me that what i was experiencing was “typical to the online gaming experience.” but out of the kindness of the hearts i.w. was going to release a patch to protect us from ourselves in two weeks.
so that’s it, now i know it is not M$, not infinity ward, but YOU! all you players out there are ruining my perfectly good call of duty multiplayer experience, and i am asking you all to stop, please for the love of god, JUST LET ME PLAY!
sorry, went a little loopy from the phone call, but i highly recommend that we all drop them a line this evening. tell janice i love her, and tell patrick santa ain’t gonna bring him shit this year (if he’s lucky).

Hahaha! They’re obviously trying a last minute attempt to keep a hold of the stragglers that remain due to everyone moving over to GRAW.

I have it on pretty good authority that it will be released tomorrow - or at least it’s supposed to be right now. A friend is on the dev team, and it’s been done for awhile now. They’ve been waiting to push things out, and one of the roadblocks was the March Dashboard update.

He wasn’t sure why it didn’t go out with the other ones earlier this week but said it should be wed.

Sounds plausible enough. Really wondering why it wasn’t in the update then, the few days could’ve been a nice match against GRAW’s release.

Unless Microsoft delayed on purpose not to disturb GRAW’s release ofcourse…. would be nasty.

they can have that non live messed up cant create a room crap we got graw now and other great titles to keep us from even thinking about looking at the cod2 case late.

they will make an overwhelming number of enemies if they release the patch within a day of graw’s release. if that happens i think a lot of people will just assume that it has been ready, and for whatever reason (p.r. related, not technical obviously) they waited for graw to release it. whether or not it is true will be moot, there will seemingly be huge justification for outcry, excuse me, additional huge justification for outcry, and as gamers, we are a group of fickle, vindictive and intelligent people, with time to kill, and i.w. and m$ are already in our crosshairs. i think we shall see graw take off and land again by the time i.w. quietly sneaks in their patch to a new generation of unpissed-off call of duty players (the ones that bought all our used copies from tomorrows trade in for graw).

You know, just want to make one comment on this - we’re treating GRAW as the holy grail, but I would wait until we all have it. I mean, you have to hope they’ve worked out all the kinks, but who knows?

Too late as I’ve said many times. GRAW comes out at the end of this week and given that 5 review sites have given it huge top marks, CoD2 online is a distant memory. Never going to waste my time buying an IW game again.

CoD2 got great marks too especially for offline mode. And when the game doesn’t lag, it’s amazing online I think.

Cod2 for me is still great in MP, let the patch be here! I am getting GRAW but both are very different games. I think I like the MP more in COD2.

I’m soooo glad with my copy of GRAW right now, played untill 2AM last night with no lag whatsoever a great lobby system with a buttload of modes and settings too choose from. I’m supposed to be in school in 25 minutes but I’m going nowhere near that building before I play some GR:AW

Ok, so I take from this post that its all the xbox 360’s fault for holding up the Call of Duty 2 PC patch…lol So then I take from that information, that if the Xbox 360 version was working great the PC version would never get patched?..lol

so that they could patch said, unfinished product (Simultinously) as too avoid jealousy and or lawsuits…lol

This is just stupid. They’re (or someone pretending to be IW) is blaming the update system. They’ve already updated the game through this system. WTF?

Not for multiplayer - which is why that March update was necessary.

When does GRAW come out for you guys I see some people say thursday I get mine today I live in colorado but I hear alot of people say thrusday that sucks that you have to wait another day and have to play that laggy Call of Duty game.
