First Guitar Hero III DLC leaked

Despite many reports of players’ arms falling off midway through the expert career mode, it seems Activision has a new wave of songs on the way to add to the already dreadful agony. Though it’s yet to be officially confirmed, the contents of the first downloadable content for Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock have already been leaked onto the intertubes.

The leakage comes courtesy of a ScoreHero forum member nicknamed hiddenzombie013 who, after having examined the leaderboards for scores on the CD exclusive tracks, spotted six new songs not yet featured in the game, plus postings for the three boss battles already on the disc.

Foo Fighters

  • All My Life
  • The Pretender
  • This is a Call

Velvet Revolver

  • She Builds Quick Machines
  • Slither
  • Messages

Boss Battles

  • Slash Battle
  • Tom Morello Battle
  • The Devil Went Down to Georgia Battle

It looks like the songs will once again come in packs of three and will most likely set you back the regular 500 MSP. As for the boss battles, a huge uproar would no doubt follow, should Activision charge for them. For those not in the know, the boss battles can currently be played in the carrer mode but not elsewhere. Here’s to hoping Activison is aware of the fact that nobody likes paying for something that’s already included on the game disc and requires nothing but a patch to tweak.

We’ll report back to you as soon as we learn more on the matter.

Zan you actually make it sound like your surprised that they would charge that much for a patch ;)

:P

I’d be pretty surprised yeah. New songs are one thing, but charging for content already included is a totally different story ;) ; not for EA, I know, but Activision!?

The Foo Fighters are cool…. but I would have preferred something different. I have the most fun playing the classic rock. Maybe some more Stones…. or Pink Floyd (i can wish)… I’d even settle for some ELO. As far as new-ish music I would have liked to see some Radiohead included.
I agree that the set list in GH3 is the best so far…. but the songs you can unlock in the store all seem to suck to me. I know some will disagree, but if you don’t like heavy metal your choices are very limited. To bad there isn’t a way to import the songs from GH2 onto our hard drive. That would be great. (again, I can wish) :)

I would pay a good amount for a song importer, but I know that would never happen. I wish!

I know what you mean, but a song importer would just end their release packs. They would make more if they released lets say 10 song packs at 500pnts a pop as supposed to one importer at 1200pnts. Awesome idea though.
