Elder Scrolls MMO in the making?
Hard on the heels of receiving a considerable investment from Providence Equity Partners, ZeniMax Media, parent company of Bethesda Softworks, has snatched up the domain name “ElderScrollsOnline.com”, and thus added even more fuel to the rumors of Elder Scrolls’ foray into the MMO market.
Making the rumors all the more credible is the semi-recent formation of ZeniMax Online, a dedicated MMO division headed by former Mythic producer Matt Firor. Couple that with Bethesda’s track record of producing critically-acclaimed and commercially successful role-playing games and the fact that the MMO market holds great potential for developers looking to make some big bucks, and we have very little reason to rule out the possibility of an Elder Scrolls MMO.

yeah i said it in the comments when last week when they were talking about bethtsda mmo section
if they do do it i hope they get it done right cause id prefer elder scrolls 5 then a mmo elder scrolls if they not going to do it right
i also hope they doon’t charge but when does a mmo not charge
–but thats only cause they run them on there own server if they ran it off xbox live mabye they wouldn’t charge
also even if they do make a mmo who says its for xbox live most of them tend to be for pc
In my book that’s not a rumor since quite a while.
Always keep an eye on job offeriongs in the gaming industry and you will learn a lot about most companies long term strategies/ventures.
With that beeing said, I hope their MMO won’t be as boring and bugged as the rest of the elder scrolls series (personal judgement, so keep it shut fanboys).

So..you can make a FALSE comment about how “bugged” a game series is and then tell everyone not to disagree with you>? The games awards and legacy speaks for itself.
They should’nt make this … they have absolutly experiance with MMO’s and should not start now , as the MMO market is becoming increasingly crowded and about to die out.Also , making a game as big as Oblivion , if not bigger and having it MMO , would be quite hard …

The MMO market is about to die out? Can you say World of Warcraft? It’s every developers dream to bring in the cash flow that Blizzard does.
i say if blizzard wont do it, lets see what bethesda does. and wow is still growing.
OH HELL YEAH they should make Elder Scrolls into an MMO!!! What are we even TALKING ABOUT THIS FOR?? Oblivion rocks, but I’ve always said it would be even better with some form of multiplayer. Yeah, I know it will be a huge challenge for them, but so was Oblivion. Of course they should try.
Yeah , the MMO is a dying market in my opinion … some day WoW will die out , and tell me are there any real decent MMO’s out there that can compare to it ?
