Still can’t muster the will to play Bioshock with the infamous widescreen issues intact? If so, then you’ll be delighted to know that 2K Games is making some serious progress on the promised patch and, consequently, promises it will be made available over Xbox Live soon. Additionally, a new Achievement has been secretly added to Bioshock’s Achievements list, leading us to believe the rumored DLC is well on its way to fruition.
Over the past few weeks, Bioshock players have been clamoring for an update on the state of the patch that is to fix the widescreen issues experienced by high-def users. It looks like the wait has finally paid off, as 2K’s Community Manager Elizabeth Tobey has recently announced on the official forums that the patch is soon to be released.
The widescreen patch will be coming in the next title update, which is out soon, and I will update you guys as soon as it goes up!
With that taken care of, it’s time to move on to the newly added Achievement for Bioshock. As shown below, a new secret Achievement worth 100 gamer points has joined the existing 50 Achievements. Note that the Achievement only appears on Xbox.com and can’t be found on your consoles. As such, it’s either a stupid cock up on Microsoft’s part, or a sign of things to come on the DLC front. We’ll have more on this as it develops.
