it has vehicles a la cod3, and a perk system similar to cod4. the maps are fairly well sized and well designed.

co op “single” player campaign too! less than a month! i am psyched!

another important step would be to go to the network blade on your 360 and “test abox live connection”. if you get anything other than “open” for your nat, then you are firewalled, and need to adjust your router settings or plug straight into the modem. if you ARE plugged into a router, try plugging the 360 DIRECTLY into the modem, and see if that solves it. if it DOES, that means you have an administration breakdown in your network. try putting your 360 in the dmz or forwarding the appropriate ports) i recommend using the dmz if you are not already.

i have a d-link router that DOES NOT WORK with cod4. i have the 360 in the dmz, and it still lags unless i go straight into the modem. i replaced it with a linksys wrt54g with custom firmware (the OLD SCHOOL version 1 router with tons of flash), and have had no problems.

so in short, it could be your connection, it could be your network, first thing to do is see if you can get a good session going straight through your modem. fyi, you will probably need to reset it when you switch. jkust unplug the modem, unplug the router from it, wait 15 seconds or so (for the modem to clear its flash), then plug the 360 into it and plug it back in. if your settings are automatic on the 360, and you have a cable connection or something that doesn’t require you to log in, you’re ready to try it. if not, you have to configure the 360 to connect (you probably qon’t have to do that).

IMO - COD4 outdoes Halo3 in most departments, especially the campaign. Halo3 theater option is brilliant, shame you can’t save your killcams of your own and your kill streaks. the challenges built in to COD4 are an achievement in itself. who needs online achievements when you have these little beasts? i love getting these along with all the perks you earn. then classing out your gun packages is absolute class. I can’t get off this game, it’s keeping my away from my GOW and that’s not right!! If anyone has played Shipment on Domination then they will know a good multiplayer game indeed, so frantic, it’s untrue. it’s like Annex on Raven Down for GOW but tighter!!! LOVE IT.

fyi, i almost never get lag in this particular game. i think tf2 and two worlds are the only two games i lag out in, and i think that is across the board. oh yeah, and the darkness, which is too bad, cause i think ctf with darklings v. humans is a blast.

I like COD4 a lot. I have more fun playing Halo 3 multiplayer then I do COD4 … COD4 is just too repetative. I.e. not enough spawn points … maps to small … no costomization options when it comes to maps … On the plus side the massive selection amongst game types is awesome. I really like the Old School games.

Whatev, back to Assasin’s Creed anyway. When I finally beat it I’ll be back to Halo 3 for awhile … maybe the DLC will be free by then.
