New Boom Boom Rocket content available

In a move that should please fans of fireworks and other large explosions, Electronic Arts has just updated its Xbox Live Arcade title Boom Boom Rocket with a few minor improvements and a handful of new tracks.

The publisher is claiming that the latest version of the game has better fireworks, and now supports dance mat and guitar controllers. The game will now keep record of what type of controller is used on the leaderboards. Five new music tracks have been added including Eine Kleine Rochtmusik, Cannon in Hi D, Sugar High, Sting of the Bumblebee and Explode to Joy.

These music tracks will be provided to players free of charge until the 16th of December. From that point, the song pack will cost Rocket fans a meagre 250 MS Points.

Well after two very happy years completely problem free I witnessed my box display three flashing (you guessed it) red lights.

So no free EA download for me, bugger, that would have been one to remember.

Oh well time to put the customer service machine into operation.

And it’s still not available in Australia. w00t, EA, you take your time - we wouldn’t want you to strain yourself.

This update isn’t available in the UK yet either, just loaded it up and its gone straight into the game, no mention in the DLC within the game either.

Once the implemented the update to allow you to use your guitar controller, I bought the game the same day. It is a totaly different experience. And now they are giving me 5 free tracks. Hooray for EA.
