Ridge Racer 6 demo gets pulled within an hour [Updated]
According to some guys over at GAF, a demo for Ridge Racer 6 was released today… and pulled within an hour of its release.
To quote Smilebit at 9:14PM: “Ridge Racer demo is up!!! 608.22MB!” After 40 minutes, another user responded saying:
Upon completion of the RR6 demo from marketplace, the shit was corrupted. So I go back to redownload it and any traces of a Ridge Racer 6 Demo are fucking gone. Does RR6 join King Kong in the 360 demo graveyard?
Apparently a corrupt copy of the demo was released, and they noticed it themselves as well. Fresh from the press, Major Nelson released the news on the RR6 demo as I am typing this article. And judging from the comments there, noone has told the good Major yet that it was pulled already… nice one folks!
Update: Demo is back up says the Major.

I was saying, I was wondering where that King Kong demo had gone, and that I want an RR demo. But RR should come tomorrow from Gamefly so it’s really a moot point.

Yeah, I noticed the demo back too. Almost downloaded it, but remembered it’s in the mail from Gamefly…
…then I died a little inside, booted up Gauntlet, and got the Co-Op achievement…

I’ve already got Ridge Racer as a rental and…
It’s … different. Not what I was expecting, although I didn’t read reviews so, who knows what I was expecting.
At first I said to myself “WTF! This is crap!”, but then I just imagined that PacMan himself was driving the cars and it got more enjoyable. It is an arcade racer through and through. It has totally damaged my ability to drive in PGR3 at the moment, but I’ll recover.
Hmm just woke up (10:35am uk time) and the demo isn’t there. Did it get pulled again? lol
I played the hell out of this game last night. Cause I to have this game coming in the mail. Looking like Monday. The demo plays very well. I cant wait.
Can only get the demo with a USA gamercard… Just made one just to try this out, always been putting off getting this game

GRAW is very good indeed, co-op is really fun, and funny at times, not gave 1 player a real go yet, but it seem to be very good, one prob with multiplayer, why did they take out covering on walls in co-op? All you can do is peek…Doesn’t ruin it, but it’s weird. The DRONE is very, very good.
