Guitar Hero III December DLC announced
Taking a cue from Electronic Arts, Activision today announced the downloadable content it’s planning to release for Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock in time for the holidays. Among others, there’s a little something from Linkin Park, as well as an exclusive rock rendition of Christmas classic. The whole list of DLC awaits you after the jump.
Warner/Reprise Track Pack:
- “No More Sorrow” by Linkin Park
- “Sleeping Giant” by Mastadon
- “Pretty Handsome Awkward” by The Used
Single song downloads:
- “So Payaso” by Extremoduro
- “Antisocial” by Trust
- “Ernten Was Wir Säen” by Die Fantastischen Vier
Free download:
- Rock rendition of the holiday classic “We Three Kings” recorded by Steve Ouimette
Said downloads apply for both the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game. Apart from the December release window, no specific dates or price points were provided. Count on us to notify you the moment the downloadable content hits the Marketplace.
These are awful compared to Rock Band’s stuff.

Out of the box GH3 is a lot of value for money already.
And the same can be said for Rock Band (perhaps even more so)…. What’s your point?

Besides I like the GH3 songs better but that’s just personal taste.

Even with all the DLC Rock Band gets it still has less songs then GH3
on the GH3 disc, Not including GH3 DLC.

The Used song is cool, hopefully it’ll make it’s way over to rock band (like so many other songs. I want to sing it, not so much rock the guitar riff.

I agree, GHIII has a better song selection than RB … but I’ve got to assume (based on what has happened so far with DLC), that just about every artist on the game will have a DLC song pack that you can download. Can’t wait for the Fallout Boy pack
The only song I’d like to have is not avaialble as a single, so I’ll take the freebie and pass on the rest.
I’d like to see some Dio, Pantera or Judas Priest….or maybe some Triumph, Bad Co or even some Cake. Danzig, Prong or maybe Godsmack?
