THQ and Disney announce WALL●E
Summer wouldn’t be summer without an inevitably blockbusting Disney movie, and 2008’s middle months won’t be any different. THQ and Disney have today announced that a videogame based on the upcoming flick WALL●E is currently in development for the Microsoft Xbox 360.
WALL●E (short for Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-Class) is a lonely robot left on Earth after mankind has hopped off to live somewhere else in the galaxy. After hundreds of years on his lonesome, he bumps into another robot named EVE. EVE realises that WALL●E has somehow stumbled upon the key to the planet’s future and decides to rush back to the humans in space to tell them. WALL●E chases after her across the galaxy, setting an intergalactic adventure in motion.
The videogame will allow players to take control of both WALL●E and EVE as they travel through space and explore 10 bizarre worlds. Like so many film-to-videogame tie-ins before it, WALL●E’s gameplay elements will mimic scenes from the movie animation, including enemies, missions and locations. Disney and THQ promise, however, that new storylines and environments will also be included, giving incentive to buy further into the franchise after having visited the cinema.
Expect to see WALL●E in stores in time for the film’s release this summer.

“WALL●E (short for Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-Class)”
Hmmm, methinks they came up with the acronym first and then tried to find letters to fit around it. That name stinks.
And that stupid circle symbol is gonna do my head in by the time the film is released.
you pronounce it Walley, what’s wrong with that. It’s supposed to be a rediculous acronym. Go watch a trailer, the movie looks great. It’s Pixar after all.
wow looks like a robot version of E.T.
Looks more like Johnny 5 from the Short Circuit movies to me…
like a nick park version of johnny 5
disasemble … make dead …
Johnny 5 is alive!!!!!!
I can’t think of any movie I’ve liked as a game, or any game that I’ve liked as a movie.
This cross-marketing crap is a waste of time, IMO.
Chronicles of Riddick kicked major ass as a game but not as a movie, even though the game was based on the movie. King Kong was a fun game too imo
However, Pitch Black was freaking awesome.
never saw that one, is it animated?
Yeh, seen the trailer a bit back- who cares bout the crappy kids game thatll come out of it, i want the moovee!
Oh no.
crap film tie in of the year….hello!
Willy And Lesbians Love Earl!
To be perfectly honest… this sounds SH*T!!! I dont see many people buying this… Its just not catchy enough.. and i agree with Studley… that dot will become very annoying….
