As some may have suspected, there won’t be a new Arcade release this week. Instead, the lime light will solely be focused on Undertow being free as compensation for the Live issues. There’s now also the chance to vote for the best Arcade games depending on categories, which will be running for the next week.

Undertow will be made a free download (usually coming in at 800 MS Points) on Wednesday at 2:00 a.m. PST (10:00 GMT) through to Sunday 27th January 11:59 p.m. PST (07:59 GMT on Monday 28th January). The game boasts multiplayer for up to sixteen people, and there will also be the chance to play against the developers on the 24th January at 7:00 p.m. PST (03:00 GMT on Friday 25th January).

In slightly related news, Mutant Storm Empire will also be receiving some fresh DLC, however nothing else is mentioned about it, so pricing details and content news will have to wait.

As for the awards, it gives you the gaming public a chance to say what is your favourite title out of the 112 already available. The categories are:

• Best Overall Arcade Game
• Best Classic Game
• Best Original Game
• Best Family Friendly Game
• Best Competitive Multiplayer Game
• Best Cooperative Multiplayer Game

Other award categories that you can’t vote in include the following:

• Best selling game
• Most played game
• Highest rated game
• Staff choice
