Rez HD and Chessmaster Live now up on XBLA
Last week saw no new releases on the Xbox Live Arcade but today’s new additions of Rez HD and Chessmaster Live put Microsoft back on the right track. Hopefully, it won’t happen again or, at least, not for a very long time.

As reported on Monday, Rez has been spruced up with nice, shiny HD visuals, as well as 5.1 surround sound support. Likewise, Chessmaster has been updated as well for the XBLA release. Tell us your thoughts on the new releases in the comments below.

Nice to see two games on one day.
I think the main reason there was no new game last week was that as Undertow was being given away free, they did not want to overload the download servers.
Exactly the reason I read.
I like the new games coming out…but still paying 10 bucks a game especially for chess…All thses arcade games you can find on websites free, and and much broader selection. 400 ms is TOPS that I would pay for an arcade game
Totally agree on this one. Unless the game has some real longevity to it, like Puzzle Quest, for instance then 800 is generally too much. The chess is quite good, but we already have a chess game on 360 and Rez is totally retro and should DEFINITELY be 400. What are M$ thinking? Answered my own question with a dollar sign there…
