GTA IV viral marketing begins
Anyone taking a stroll in the Brooklyn area in the US had best be on the look out for criminals, as posters dotted around the area highlight just who to look for. Of course Rockstar and Take Two are having a little joke, but the posters that kick start their viral portion of marketing are damn convincing and highly amusing.
The first poster recommends shooting Niko on sight, the second suggests all parking fines will be cleared if you give evidence, and the third offers tipsters the chance to see their tax dollars in action by providing information of the wanted criminal. It’s all very clever and almost convincing for anyone not involved in the video game world. There’s also a tips email, which produces the following auto-generated message:
Let’s not think about what would happen to the game and Take Two if someone looking like the people in the posters is actually shot and killed, but just get excited that the 29th April is not that far away at all. No doubt we will see more viral stuff in the mean time, which can only be a good thing.

If you read the actual poster, the whole thing is a dead giveaway that it’s fake, I mean “95% of that community is Eastern European…” isn’t a big clue? I didn’t read the other two.

I agree with the comment above, PS2 may have outsold the Original Xbox, but that was the last generation. Xbox 360 has outsold PS3 by a long way… I play both console and Xbox 360 s better because of the amount of good exclusive games and the online features are alot better on 360… Ps3’s are still good though obviously….
You can tell which console is doing better by walking into any game selling type place. You’ll prob see on an average day about 12 people looking at xbox360 games where as you’ll see either no one or one person looking at ps3 games, i think that says it all really. Oh and the person looking at the ps3 games prob has a f*cked off “i’ve just spent £450 and for what?” look on their face.
Give it a go, pop into a shop and see for yourself.
So the xbox 360 has had a year head start but how many years has the PS2 had a start? you’re being bias, and if you’re including all consoles in your “console war” than you need to include the biggest one out there, the computer, microsoft owns the majority of teh marke, which means that many of the games bought are played on a computer running windows, or are a Games for Windows game, you present facts, but bias facts at that
Who me? I’m not biased. Yes i do have a 360 and not a ps3 but after looking at both consoles, i saw a better gaming experience through a 360. The ps3 was held back far too long. I think if it had been released at the same time as the 360 it possibly could have been the better console, but now developers are making most games for the pc and 360, with the ps3 as an after thought. Kinda like what happened with the dreamcast, good console but just didn’t have the developers backing.
I think Augustus has made a special return under a new name.

Facts, for your information i have no parents as my dad died when i was 15 and my mum died last december. I have a full time job, i think in your money it would work out to about $45,000 a year and unlike you i really took my time when deciding which console to get. The PS3 was out and had been for a while. When you actually have a valid comment to make then come back, but until then go home, stroke your sack o shit ps3, and contemplate how the fuck you are going to pay your parents back for them buying you a very expensive paperweight. I think yo’ daddy is gonna want a nice piece of your ass, and your mum, well i bet she taste real good!!!

FACT: PS3 is a great, affordable Blu-Ray player
FACT: It pretends to be a gaming machine, but that’s an obvious and outright lie as there are few, if any, games worth owning (not counting multi-platform stuff)
FACT: Physically, while bigger/bulkier, the PS3 is more pleasing to the eye. Its a very pretty paper weight.

FACT: Delays + loss of exclusives + smallest market share + pricey hardware + shabby, half-rate (see: FREE) online service + lack of simplicity to play with friends on said shabby service + horrible controllers = Money losing operation.
