FACT: PS3 is a great, affordable Blu-Ray player

FACT: It pretends to be a gaming machine, but that’s an obvious and outright lie as there are few, if any, games worth owning (not counting multi-platform stuff)

FACT: Physically, while bigger/bulkier, the PS3 is more pleasing to the eye. Its a very pretty paper weight.

FACT: Delays + loss of exclusives + smallest market share + pricey hardware + shabby, half-rate (see: FREE) online service + lack of simplicity to play with friends on said shabby service + horrible controllers = Money losing operation.

FACT: Sony is losing/has lost this gen. But they aren’t stupid, and will plan accordingly for the next round.

FACT: The ‘next round’ is still a good 3-4 years away. May I suggest that you hold your breath until then Facts?

FACT: Games are integral to a gaming system’s appeal. No games = no appeal. Its a pretty simple concept. Read it twice, slowly, and let it sink in.

Reason I keep coming back is because this is entertaining. Watching the community read, laugh at, and burn you for your somewhat lackluster and generic insults makes it worth me wasting 5 minutes just to read all this.

As far as parents are concerned, you brought it up, so I’m thinking you are not happy with your parents at all.

Personally, I don’t care for you entertainment setup, because I know there’s one thing you can’t get that’s far better (in my opinion) than either three of the consoles.

Hmm…let’s see, whatelse…Ace Combat series is still the highest grossing fighter game on a console, and yes…even though the series was mostly on the PS, I just wanted to throw it in there because Xbox 360 stole the title from ya’s. Heh!

Lost Odyssey (Yeah, I spelt it wrong last time…I know), is one of the most highly anticipated titles in North America, and has been selling amazingly well in Japan (Plus we don’t have to wait until doomsday for it’s release, unlike Final Fantasy XIII).

Lastly on my above list, because you’ve already admitted that Mass Effect is THE awesome, we have Perfect Dark Zero. Once again, not my “choice” in gaming style, but it did possess it’s own charm and was a good launch title that was accepted incredibly well by the mass public.

As for my personal favourate Xbox 360 exclusive title. That would be Dead or Alive Xtreme 2. Now I know this wouldn’t fall in what you’d concider a premiere (if that’s a word that means “best” I suppose) exclusive, but…it is an exclusive none-the-less. I like it! ~grins~

Finally…I’ll throw in another game that I had forgot to mention; Crackdown. That game’s just amazing in it’s own right. Bai bai!

As far as those games are concerned, being a typical gamer, I only saw gaming magazines really push Resistance 2, all other games that included Playstation 3 were multiplatform. For the most part I don’t read the magazines but when I do, I barely read a whimper of the ones you mentioned.

BTW, isn’t MGS going multi? As far as rumors are concerned…

I’m speaking on behalf of the general populace that isn’t hardcore on gaming. Don’t like it? Change your name to Biased.

I have both systems along with a wii, but also if we’re taking lifetime company console sales, I’m fairly certain that Nintendo would be somewhere in the mix being they released at least 3 systems (NES, Super Nintendo, and Gameboy and its varients, N64 came before xbox) before sony and microsoft released their first console.

I also disagree with the PC being a microsoft platform. Microsoft doens’t manufacture a PC yet therefore they wouldn’t count in microsofts numbers, now dell or gateway, etc numbers could be counted possibly.
