“Inside Xbox” hits Canada
Apparently Canadians, until today, didn’t have the “Inside Xbox” feature on their dashboard. Despite being crap unless you live in the US, Canada can now view random, often pointless, things that Microsoft want you to know about.
Whilst the US have Major Nelson constantly updating the service, the UK receives updates from “Acey Bongos”, which have been less than stellar updates since the idea started. Canada are greeted by Jaken Bear, one of the Xbox Canada MVPs. Whether he will be as monotonous as good ‘ol Acey remains to be seen, but you bet it won’t be a patch on Major Nelson’s contributions, who for example uploaded videos from CES 2008 for Americans to enjoy.
Let us know if this is a much welcomed addition or not. The dashboard, here at least, has never been the same since it was brought into effect, taking much longer than usual to boot up. Enjoy!

i live in Portugal and i dont have the inside xbox buhhhhhhhhh microsoft
Much like the video marketplace, Inside Xbox is another place I never look. I wish they would spend their time working on useful features…or at least perfecting what they already have available.
Congrats, Canada…enjoy your pointless crap.
Thanks guys for covering it! To me, the best part is Sinnix’s webcomic being on Inside Xbox, as now I don’t have to go onto the Xbox.com website to check it out.
inside xbox sucks i would rather have my messages icon there
Ditto. You said exactly what I was going to
:D
woot more pointless crap lol
Im canadian and have always seen this…pointless though.
You don’t need a message icon. If you’re going to have a messages icon, then you may as well have a recent players icon also. They’re all on the same pop up dummies!
Inside XBox at the moment is useless. If it actually gave you up and coming news about XBox 360 titles or industry news then it might be worth a look (something not unlike XBoxic), but it’s merely a sad pathetic source of Marketplace advertisements all in one little area. Congrats to M$ for finding more ways of trying to squeeze money out of XBox 360 owners by sticking adverts down your bloody throat.

except we are constantly getting messages, and never needing to access our recent player list. it is a shortcut, and yes, i found it entirely more worthwhile than the “inside xbox” button.
