Red Faction III confirmed
It’s been mentioned in passing a number of times, but THQ CEO Brian Farrell took time at the company’s conference call yesterday to confirm that Red Faction III would be amongst its lineup for the 2009 financial year, which runs from April 2008 to March 2009. Volition Studios will be returning to handle development duties once again.
Red Faction was one of the breakout titles for the PlayStation 2 back in 2001, and was well received on the PC. Red Faction II, on the other hand, wasn’t liked quite as much, despite appearing on all available consoles at the time. The series is defined by its destructible environments, handled by a system called Geo-Mod.

Farrell promised that more on the game will be shown in the coming weeks, and that the power of the new consoles and current PCs will be utilised to create much more exciting destruction technology.
You’ll be able to continue the revolution on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PCs sometime in the next year.

it is a cool game I cant wait!!!
!!!!!!! I thought i would never see this franchise again!! so happy!

Oh yeah, Fantastic News…
single player of red faction 1.

multiplayer of red faction 2.
add online, maybe coop.
Hell yes!
I used to really like both of these games, Esp the deathmatch mode, killing someone through a wall with a grenade launcher never got boring :o)
lol, I actually JUST got rid of my old PC cd’s for Red Faction 1
Totally agree with Jamzy no 2. The single player of Red Faction 1 was superb. And, at the time, Red Faction 2 was easily the best multiplayer around. This is going to be good. Pant-wettingly good.
If its like one and not two this will be awesome =)
In the multiplayer for Red Faction 2, when you got shot, you could actually see your own head go flying past the screen as it got blown off. And the monstrous grunts squealed like pigs when they got shot. That’s where Red Faction 2 was far superior. The single player in the first game was definitely better though.
