Portal song coming as DLC for Rock Band

If you managed to complete Portal, you would have seen the end credits and been blessed with a beautifully crafted song that would have had you bopping all the way through. To the delight of many, Rock Band developers Harmonix have teamed up with Valve to bring the song to the instrument-fueled game.

The song was demonstrated at a GDC after-party, a special preview for everyone that was lucky enough to be there. The crowd apparently went wild and loved every minute of it, and one guy even got on the stage and tried to download the song onto a memory card that he happened to be carrying with him.

There’s no other details at this stage, such as when it’s coming, so for now you will just have to imagine what it will be like to sing about a cake.

So it looks like every song someone saw in that DLC file is coming true. That means we’ll be seeing Pinball Wizard from the The Who in the next week or two along with Hysteria by Muse.

I wonder which will be more satisfying… actually playing the song on guitar, or playing the RB version with all my friends (who don’t have instruments of their own). I’ll take both. :D

Next week’s DLC was announced today. All NIN songs. March of the Pigs is going to be a drum worked. So the March DLC leak is false. It’s pretty much 100% that those are the songs coming out just not on the right dates. NIN pack was the third week in March in the leak.

Thanks for not giving me credit for submitting this… I’ll be sure to submit it elsewhere next time.

if you are submitting news for “credit”, and not to help facilitate the spread of info, let someone else do it.

Im just saying, It would be nice to be recognized for taking the time to submit it here at Xboxic. I have yet to see this news posted on any of the other Xbox360 sites I visit, so I believe that since I helped let get the word out I should atleast be accredited for it. No big deal.
If they are going to not recognize the Xboxic communities contributions, why even bother since it will be on every other website in no time?

here you go abiosis. news of the portal song from over a week ago. this info was certainly in the pipeline and barely deserves its own post, so just chill. you probably did not tip xboxic off on this.
