New DLC for GHIII is out; More on the way
Activision announced today that it had released a new pack of DLC for Guitar Hero III, and that another pack would be released in mid-March. The Modern Metal pack released today contains Deftones, Avenged Sevenfold, and Thrice, and the pack releasing later this month will feature Dropkick Murphys

The Dropkick Murphys pack will be releasing around St. Patrick’s day, and will feature three songs, “Famous for Nothing,” “(F)lannigan’s Ball” and “Johnny, I Hardly Knew Ya”, off the band’s sixth album The Meanest of Times. The best part about the Dropkick Murphys pack is that it’s free! Anyone looking to pick these up?

Love the Dropkick Murphy’s they are playing here in 3 days. Flannigan’s Ball is a great track, will definitely make me want to boot up GH3 again and give Rock Band a bit of rest. The metal pack is good too, still not as good as the upcoming thrash pack for RB though.
no matter what they bring it wont add more instruments and thats why i love rocking with my friends and family… i dunno the whole guitar only fact has got me down since RB arrived

Same here. I got GH3 for Xmas, finished it on Medium, started on hard, got RB a week later. Never played GH3 again.
I like that they are starting to push stuff out. And a free pack? Sweet!
As much as I love Thrice, they’re not metal. Neither are the Deftones.
Avenged Sevenfold just sucks.
At least the DKM stuff will be free, although they could have chosen better songs (and stuff from other CDs).
