The Temptation is actually a Two Worlds sequel

SouthPeak Games has today announced that Two Worlds: The Temptation unveiled back in November 2007 will, in fact, be a “fully-fledged” follow-up to the original open-world RPG, and not an expansion pack as first thought. Make the jump to learn about the company’s reasoning behind the decision.

Miroslaw Dymek, Chief Developer at Reality Pump, gave an explanation:

“We first envisioned The Temptation as an expansion to the original. However, as we started creating the story and reworking almost every aspect of the game, we realised that we were well on our way to crafting a fully-fledged sequel. Our entire development team is now putting their all into making Two Worlds: The Temptation a game that is far and away better than the original.”

Not that it’s going to require moving mountains for the team to top the disappointing predecessor, but The Temptation promises more than enough for you to buy into Dymek’s buzzword. No, for real, as features such as more complex missions, improved voice-overs and animations, tweaked horseback riding, overhauled combat, and last but not least, new visuals “that have to be seen to be believed” are all promised to make you think twice before shrugging the sequel off as another flop.

Well hopefully they learned from their mistakes with Two Worlds.

two worlds was a great game that required the player to “forgive” too much. sounds like they know what to fix…

The pics look nice. Maybe they will get it right this time. I will call off all of my assasins for now, but if they screw this one up it’s ( making slashing motion under chin )

Two worlds was by far the most busted game I’ve seen. Maybe ever.
This one will be better even if it’s half done.

two worlds was perhaps the worst sixty bucks i ever spent. i WANTED it to work. it did not work on live. i heard it worked ok offline if that was what you were looking for. but, for a coop game, that is NOT high praise. temptation is going to have to be off the fucking charts to interest me this time.

and this:

“We first envisioned The Temptation as an expansion to the original. However, as we started creating the story and reworking almost every aspect of the game, we realised that we were well on our way to crafting a fully-fledged sequel.”

means they are out of ideas.

I played it offline for a while (I only paid $4 for it on Gamefly’s big clearance a few months ago so I don’t feel ripped off) and it wasn’t that bad. Yeah there was bugs but not ones that kept me from playing it. The world looked better then Oblivion’s but the framerate was never able to keep smooth. I never could get it to play online.

Dude, Time to put the glue down.

Seriously!

I thought overall from what I saw it did. Maybe I have just seen one to many Oblivion gates ;-)

yeh, oblivion was repetitive insome respects but it looked miles better than two worlds and more importantly it was actually fun to play. i hope this game never gets released and southpeak go make us a swat game or whatever they did before ripping off bethesda
